I'm not that upset truthfully because I had a suspicion that they won't do well in TI4 this year.

I said a few post back I'm happy that they are at Key Arena and that is all I really asked for this year for them given how bad they have been in this patch. This could have been a lot worse (aka Alliance and Fnatic). But they are still in TI4 and have a chance to do something at least. That is all I want.

I'm just realistic about their chances this year.

I'm feeling the same Seraphic.

Sure during the game I was a bit bumped but in the end they're already higher than I expected. Before TI they seemed lost a lot of the time. Right now the standard picks might not fit the team that well but they had several in which they impressed again. They'll be at Key Arena and I really I hope that that they can survive C9 as my sympathies for envy are on the low side but if they come 8th that's perfectly fine with me. I love that team.

I guess I got a little more relaxed during the last year aswell and can totally appreciate a well executed gameplan as Newbee had it.

Ya and I can finally just watch the TI4 games without having to be biased on teams which always seems to kill my experience lol.

I don't know if i'm wrong but i feel that navi are't drafting navi's heroes. I mean, navi have his streght into a high mobility heroes, infact, despite the result, they feel more confident in game one vs newbee where their puck-ember-io shine a bit. The second game where they go for a more static farm position went very bad. I think they have to focusing more in speed and mobility that give them the possibility to be agressive. This is my own opinion and i'm not in navi themself

True, they're experimenting with the meta I think, I hope they fix it by Saturday tho.

I can only say that given the performance of last tournaments I didn't expect too much and they are about my expectations. I am repeating myself, they don't seem to research their opponents, ok they banned Doom but both games Newbee picked Weaver, you may not know it the first game, that they use it aggressively, but by the second, man come on, punish him. I just think they are not in shape, they don't grasp the meta, they don't master the heroes. Mirana is such a great hero this patch and no one can play her, not one out of five. In the other hand Xboct's Razor is better that Dendi's so I am ok with it.

XBOCT plays a decent carry Mirana. And god i hope they never pick heroes like Razer for Dendi again. Just like when Alliance picks Razer or something as static and unmobile for S4, such a waste of their talents.

Na'vi always say they practice in official games, where else to get actual practice? So i'm hoping all this, so far is simply them fucking around trying things out.

Unless Puppey analyze what is going wrong and find a fix, I see no go for Navi. In previous TI's, they have highs and lows but this time they are just plain bad in terms of execution and especially draft. I see no brilliance yet which is the main strength of the Navi. Only solution would be to adapt fast which they used to.

I completely agree that Razor does not feel like its a Xboct's hero. Yesterday games it felt like they were relying too much on Io's relocate out of the gank situation when Dendi was on Ember Spirit. He got caught couple of times in enemy's woods. It feels like they are missing something with the current meta.

Who knows, maybe they will take the usual road of NaVi and we will see them in the finals, but its probably just me dreaming.

I place most of the blame on the drafting. Anybody looks like they're playing badly if the game is going poorly or if there's no hero synergy, so I'm willing to give XBOCT and Dendi the benefit of the doubt here. Almost every game I've watched of theirs so far resulted in a dreadful feeling even before the actual map loads.

Maybe Puppey is just so brilliant -- instead of saving strats for TI, he's saving strats for a later _phase_ of TI! I think a more realistic interpretation is that his drafting has deteriorated. Perhaps Goblak is a bad influence too?

Funnik also plays a good Mirana, even better than hvost, at least a more aggressive one. But I think that's besides the point, their main problem is the draft and farm priority/rotations as well as support rotations around the map early game, they are practically non existent in NaVi. One of their biggest strength was adaptation which progressively made them better and better over long tournaments, this time they are doing worse and worse because they are not adapting towards their opponents or the meta. Execution wise they seem ok, but when their draft sucks there's only so much they can do. I also feel that ppy is the most useless player in this TI, he cant draft nor play.

I hope they were trying out some weird stuff. Their draft, as some people said, seems to lack of synergy.
I used to love their execution, connecting stuns one after another, but with the recent compositions I just knew I weren't going to see any of that.

By Mirana I meant a support Mirana, a Kkys or Ppys Mirana. She seems to be working out so well in that position for many teams and I never saw her that way with these guys.

They are not playing early as aggressively as one year ago. I see that in the drafts as well as in the so called "movements" Ppy talk about so much.

People from Na'Vi (including Puppey) have mentioned several times that Goblak does not influence the drafts. He can give ideas and suggestions, but when it comes to the actual drafting process all decisions are made by the Puppey himself.
