Not sure if this is the right thread for this but anyone want to play sometime together that doesn't mind losing?
I don't know what it is but Dota 2 isn't as fun as the 2-5 years ago I've played DotA 1 in WC3. I think it's because everything feels so formulaic (get specific items on specific heroes, do this, do that, etc). (I guess less mindless buy whatever items you want since a lot of stuff is more figured out now.) Also maybe because a lot of pub players are so serious about winning (to be fair, it was the same in DotA 1 too).
I'd play with bots but you can't get cosmetic items with bots like in TF2 >.>.
Edit - It'd be neat if there was a 1v1 mode in Dota 2 that allowed you to control all 5 heroes at once (with each separate gold pool, to prevent item pooling and to mimic team play). At least in 1v1 games (SC for example) I can screw around all the time since I'm just playing for me. For team games, it's generally common courtesy to play to win (unless you're playing with friends who don't care for play to win). (Not that I screwed around often in SC2 but I did feel less pressured to win I guess.)

Play Divine Courage? What's better than Battle Fury, Vlads, Pipe, Abyssal, Urn Invoker? Nothing, that's what.

Play Co-op vs bots, you can get items there.

^Thanks for the suggestions. Co-op vs bots is still teaming up with other players (potentially bossy ones) while Divine Courage is only a mode in WC3 DotA?
I just thought of a good analogy for what I am feeling. Feels a bit like working a job with bossy coworkers >.>. Or it feels like an MMO where you're the puller in an exp party (in a game that requires grouping to level up at a decent speed) and you're getting exp but it gets boring doing the same thing over and over.
I won the last 4 games (even co carried one) but each one so far had some bossy person or someone blaming someone or "getting <this item> on <that hero>? Nub! You go to the dota wiki and pick the items recommended for the heroes, every single game". (Actually I've only encountered the whole item thing like 3 times out of 60 games of Dota 2 I've played so far, so it's not that bad.)
Of course, the solution is to get over and just ignore people (while still trying to play to win since it's common courtesy and good manners in team games)... but the potential of more fun and variety if there was a true 1v1 mode in Dota (again - 1 player controlling 5 heroes at once, all with their own separate gold pools, so no pooling items in on one hero).

Divine courage just told me to buy Rod of Atos, Aghanims, and Mek on Skeleton King. Come to think of it, Skeleton King could use some love with Aghanims.

In fairness, the website says they got the idea from LoL:
Who made this shit? College student studying programming who thought this would be nice project to learn some php/html/css. Idea for Divine Courage comes from similar system made for League of Legends: Ultimate Bravery.
