Seriously though if it doesn't give bad permanent side-effect i don't see anything bad in pros taking them, more exciting games, Savior's vigor is back, etc

No, seriously, have you ever tried adderall? It's dextroamphetamine and amphetamine. Speed.
If you can theorycraft well, have experience, but don't have the mechanics - which is like half of TL.net - everything just comes together.

well being a premed student i can give you the breakdown:
Basically you can think of any of these two drugs as a stimulant. Basically the active chemical in both of these drugs is some type of amphetamine salts. If your thinking meth then yes, it is in a way like meth, or cocaine.
Amphetamines increase your metabolism, this is why in the 1950's it was prescribed as a weight loss supplement.
What really is attractive to gamers that this drug can provide is this: Norepinephrine
In short Norepinephrine will help to simulate a "fight or flight" response in the body. Adrenalin kicks in, higher pulse, quicker reaction time, higher BP Temp, ext. (basically an increase in your metabolism)
I have taken adderal when i used to play halo 2 competitively. Because of your increased metabolism, your body is running at full peak. Sniping was hilariously easy, and i would always get first shot.
However, because of my use for about 4+ years i am now a chronic insomniac. Also (although this may or may not be related) i have jaundice in my eyes, and unless i stay really really hydrated, it can be rather noticeable. From what i understand it is an imbalance of a few enzymes and a slight buildup of bile in my liver. Nothing live threatening of course, but meh.
As for side effects:
Basically when you take adderal or for that matter any stimulant your brain makes a TON of serotonin and dopamine. These two "chemicals" are the feel good, alert, happy ext. type of chemicals that your brain produces.
Study's show that after long term use, dependence is possible. After a time your brain can literally stop making serotonin and dopamine. This can cause radical mood swings, and generally can make you very unstable (mentaly).
Kidney failure is possible. If that happens to you, well lets just say that your chance of living is rather slim.

* Loss of appetite[6]
* Difficulty falling asleep[6]
* Weight loss[6]
* Extreme Irritability[6]
* Extreme Mood Swings[6]
* Unpleasant taste in mouth[6]
* Severe Headaches[6]

* Euphoria [6]
* Depression [6]
* Hyperactivity [6]
* Delusions [6]
* Hallucinations [6]
Also the above. Notice that all of the mood disorders are related to the lack of serotonin and dopamine production of the brain.
So really taking stimulants while enhancing performance, could lead you to (a few years down the road) becoming rather unstable, (mentally)

Drugs are banned from mainstream sports not because they give you an "unfair" advantage but because they cause you bodily harm and no respected organization would allow it. To allow it would be to endorse self mutilation in order to get ahead. If there is no bodily harm associated with the drug in discussion then there is no reason for any organization to ban their use. The idea is the same as not all diets are equal. The Vegans could argue that the meat eaters have an unfair adv in football, it makes them strong, faster, more agile and their brain functions better; therefore ban meat eating from football. That example is absurd and so would banning any substance that benefits ones wellbeing.

My brother did that to study for hours and hours without eating/sleeping, I thought it was amazing. it's a stimulant. think of it being somewhere between coffee and cocaine. usually it's prescribed for people with focus issues in school or work but lots of other people will take it if they have to focus really hard for a few hours.
What he didn't add is if you DON'T have ADD/ADHD it works as speed does on a normal person. In other words, without the actual disorder you're just getting a huge energy boost. There are so many people that pop Adderal before football games or any other sporting event simply to get the rush.

I'm sure adderal helps to play on low dosage. Still it has side effects just like any other amphetamines, so if your goal is to permanently improve your focus you should try meditation. It's a lot healthier and your not dependent on some drug

Somehow I'm having a comedown from the adderall...I took a pill and a half last night, didn't sleep for 36+ hours, and I havent eaten anything for more than 30 hours...
After a while, I started feeling neurotic with the lack of sleep compounding with the stimulating effects.
I'm gonna avoid that shit until my next set of finals...-____-;;
