Eywa- discussed this with me at the beginning of Round 1, as I posed the same question. He explained that new teams would be treated as equals. What he meant by that is when a new team joins, they haven't done anything good or bad, thus they'll start with a 50% record. I don't know if this can be changed at nOoNe's discretion or not, but it seems fair. | ||

Thanks for the Liquipedia help. I didn't consider a "super final" of sorts, and all of the prize money is being utilized. Highly unlikely that Eywa will provide extra funds, so it's likely that no such final will happen. I will think about it though, maybe I'll find a solution. If they keep the stats carried over from last term that would be fine, but there are completely different teams with new variance I don't think it's really fair.
