yeah

not on the same level
effort just fucking revolutionized zvz last game

Hyuk beat the best ZvZ player in the world with a slight BO disadvantage; he just plain outplayed Jaedong himself. If that doesn't impress you, then all I can say is; fanboy.

there is a difference between outplaying jaedong in one game (ignoring the fact that effort did it in 3 straight) and changing the entire 1 hatch vs 2 hatch dynamic.

One is a good game, one might change the way zvz is played out in the future.

I never said (Z)Jaedong was slumping. I said he was out-of-form for that game. Angry Jaedong would not get out micro'd by (Z)Yuck!.

(Z)EffOrt is going to roll Hyuk, there's just no other way to put it. Pair that with Hydra's upcoming embarrassment of (P)WoRsT, and sKyHigh's #2 TvT ability, (In all fairness, I love (T)fantasy) and you've got a 3-1. CJ victory.

(P)Snow will lose to (P)Bee Suit though. I give you that much.

Look, if you go in the recommended games thread there is a reason one game is being recommended and the other isn't.

Just to make it clear once and for all, I'm not a fanatical fan of any pro team, I like many of them for different reasons. Above all else I'm a Bisu fan but as far as teams are involved, my list will be

1. ACE
2. SKT
3. KHAN
..
....

....
...
97. Oz

There are so many great personalities in the different teams its really hard to pick one as a constant favorite. I feel great sympathy for KHAN at the moment cause they are doing really bad and I wish they get back to their glorious days.

Predictions:

(P)BeSt < Outsider SE > (Z)Hydra
Although Hydra is a relative newb, he is still a CJ zerg. However, Best's PvZ seems to have improved recently; obviously Best hasn't been as good as he used to be, but right now I don't think he's as bad as he used to be either..

(Z)Hyuk < Moon Glaive > (Z)EffOrt
Perfect skill and APM seem to matter less with Hyuk than with other zergs; you can sort of see that from his relatively slower reactions and slower unit movements. But, his absolutely perfect micro decision-making, and his good strats, more than makes up for any disadvantages that he has in speed. I like to think of him as a more determined and focused Stork of PvP. Since Effort can't match JDs skills and decision-making, I really don't see how Effort can stand more of a chance against Hyuk than JD could.

(P)Bisu < Heartbreak Ridge > (P)Snow
lol yeah.. short of a creative, perfectly thought-out, and perfectly executed cheese/build by Snow, he is gonna get raped

(T)fantasy < Fighting Spirit > (T)sKyHigh
kind of close to call, i dunno

Closer: Bisu/Fantasy < Tornado > Anyone they're sending
Unless CJ has prepared something specifically against a player that they correctly predicted will play as ace, gg from CJ, no team can deal straight-up with SKTs ace selections imo.

Doesn't that just make predicting hyuk over effort as reasonable as the other way around?

Well I don't see CJ losing, but even if it happened, we are not babies.bisufans on the other hand, we already saw what happened in the OSL qualy thread after Bisu lost. Click Me!-> Ctrl+F -> search for "imba". haha

lmfao

Looks like sktt1 will win 3-2
but hyuk over effort is not reasonable. hyuk may be better that he used to be but he's still only the 3rd wheel, while effort is the centerpiece of cj's lineup.

hyuk wins 5 zvzs in a row, only one of them against a good zvz player and you guys are basically calling him zvz bonjwa

its more than a bit pathetic

If tomorrow EffOrt wins everyone will see it as something absolutely normal but if Huykster destroys the neo-savior, your last 10 posts will look so ridiculous. Either way I dont see a reason why you are trying to compare these two players or even put them on pair when "your" guy is the clear favorite. Ofc it will be a huge upset if Hyuk manages to take this one as well

Goddamnit, when did I call Hyuk ZvZ bonjwa? In my first post I said:

''A while ago I would've laughed out loud if someone said Hyuk would stand a chance against Effort, but his recent game against JD made me really impressed. It's hard to consider him just a fluke after that. Effort is looking really good as well, though, so it should be a good game (for a ZvZ).''.

What I am saying is, it's not unreasonable to predict Hyuk over Effort. Effort is still the favourite, but ZvZ is a volatile match up, and Hyuk is currently kicking ass in it.

It makes no sense to play Movie against a lineup that is as zerg-weak as SKT. All the other players that SKT could field would be the favorite in the other 2 matchups.

Plus, if you don't remember, this is where CJ gets its depth: it builds up rookies quickly by throwing them into televised games and getting them accustomed to the pressure. Have you already forgotten back when Movie, Skyhigh, and Effort were all merely rookies and people were saying "Movie? Effort? Where the hell is Iris?"

Hyuk is 3rd wheel because his ZvT is trash. It's like Firebathero on Khan's lineup: just because he's basically an auto-loss in TvP doesn't mean he can't put up a good fight against someone like Flash in TvT.

This.

There's a difference between saying that it will be a rape in favor of Effort, that Hyuk will win, and that it will be close. IMO it will be close. Effort's ZvZ is good, but it's not so good that Hyuk can be counted out. Anyone who can take Jaedong in a straight up game the way Hyuk did is at least good enough to put up some kind of fight against Effort. Honestly, CJ fans are treating this like Hyuk is some B-rate zerg, when the match is way closer than that.
