ZvT early terran rushes

How could someone effectively deal with terrans using proxy raxes before supply (or 8rax in base) and try to bunker with 4-5 scv attacking reeeally early?
Only solutions I could think of, if the terran's micro is even remotely good, is cancel exp hatch or 12pool (9pool too obviously, but then terran might not rush and 9pooling isn't always going to do damage, so it's not the safest strat around).
Drones to the rescue doesn't really work, since it's so many scv's you're dealing with...


The way I see it, zerg is gambling when going for a hatch first build, while a rushing terran with good micro is playing as safely as he can, since he'll be also able to defend against early lings and the like(proxy rax is not safe ofcourse, but 8rax in base has only a few seconds delay for the marines to start arriving).

Any thoughts on this?

scout their main, if you don't see rax/depot, cancel your hatch and lurk rush :o

assuming you 12 hat 11 pool, you can defend it by using 5 or so drones to kill marines until you're pool is done (don't attack move if he brings 4-5 scvs, since they will rape your drones as you said... just micro around the scvs and target marines before they get to the bunker and make lings and rally them to the expo while doing so)

Devaz vs mediocre players yea that'd work probably, but not vs good microers marines move, bunk completes, by the time lings arrive from 12hat 11pool there'll be 5scv's and 4 marines with two more on the way, assuming he got 2nd rax(hard rush --; ) that's not defeatable vs decent microers~!

try a 9 lord 9 hatch 10 pool if you are really paranoid about rushes. Try to send a 3 or 4 drones to your expo just before it completes and sunken asap

after boxer vs yellow i thought id revive this?

edit: at about that time satanik started doing this to me, and tho id been able to beat him zvt often before that i couldnt after
and i never figured an answer for this, and now im full time terran..

What has never failed me is always when i scout and find out he plans to bunker rush is to send 6 drones to kill any scv's around. If he sends a rine with his scv's then you can still win by killing rine fast. As long as you have propper micro you will always keep your hatch. It has never failed me.

Always cancel the hatch if you didn't scout the fast rax. If you scout it in time, you'll be able to pool first.

Just scout with your 9th drone.

There was a VOD of GoRush vs TheMarine recently where TheMarine did 8 rax and brought 12 scv or so, gorush brought out 10+ drones and killed the marines before they could get into the bunker, hatched lings and killed off the rush. TheMarine did kinda make the bunker late, but that was because gorush brought out his drones very soon and blocked the scvs from making bunker until rines arrived. But then again it was cross positions on luna which is quite far away and in closer positions he would've had no choice but to cancel hatch.

when that happens and im Z i usually cancel hat, and just 2 hat in base, its best way to go imo, or 1 hat lurker is nice :0.

If you are really worried about it, i got an idea from )Is(City. He used to scout with 6th drone for ZvR and if you do it ZvT u can scout in time to pool before hatch if a rush. The scout doesnt slow anything down. Just a little quicker than 9th.

6 drone is actually a good idea to scout, hardly slows you down.

Or you can do the super-safe pool while lord building -> 12 drones and then hat. If he rushed you have the lings and if he does not you still got the same number of drones.

I 9ovie 9 pool 12 hat =/ It's my build. I always place my second hat on my choke, then make a Sunken there. It's just my ZvT build
