What irks me about this rule is that, though it was clearly inspired by the "zizi yo incident", it does nothing to prevent similar incidents in the future - it's just as possible (easier, even) for a winning player to accidentally type "gg" as it is for him to type "zizi yo". Given this, the entire rule seems like complete garbage. What KeSPA needed was a protocol for handling situations in which one player accidentally types out (they still don't have one), not a rule about how that player should type out. What the fuck. Screw KeSPA.

Forfeit loss because you didn't type gg? I'd say that players had plenty of time to practice how they type it. KeSPA seems to be fair not giving disqualification right away, only forfeit and warning. It wasn't that bad considering he can still play next matches. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=86291 On January 19 2009 15:21 XYoonZ wrote: There was no translation for the whole document so I went ahead and translated it (the best i could) - Entry Method : Within 1 min of a match ending, inform the ref by document/paper. - Setting Time: Standard (After greeting the audience and entering the booth, 5 mins) - Always greet the audience before every set. - Once your entry is announced, you must stay in the designated area (team's table and team's resting room) - After sitting in the booth, you can still move around but is included in the 5 min setting time. - After reentering the booth after the match, equipment is rechecked. - Strategies could be discussed in any area. - When surrendering in a match, only "gg' and "GG" will be legal/accepted When not followed, this will result in an automatic disqualification and warning *But, this will not be used in Round 3. *These rules will be enforced at the start of Round 4 (04-11-2009) e: When you are losing and ready to type 'gg', you can take few extra seconds to make sure you typed it correctly. I don't think so :s And I'm pretty sure that's the whole issue here. Someone above said they "had to draw the line somewhere". Well why not just do that the logical way: sanction behavior that is deemed offensive or humiliating. And going from there, they could just use some common sense. Is typing "ww" before leaving offensive? No Is typing insults offensive? Yes
