The MSL champion was chosen by fifty-four different teams. Of those fifty-four teams, seven of them also chose the runner up. Of those seven teams, only one also managed to choose one of the semifinalists. With a total of 25 points, disciple has the winning Fantasy MSL team. His team was made up of
Leta, 
Luxury, 
Kal, Bisu and JangBi. Congratulations!The team that would have yielded the most possible points would have been a team consisting of:
Bisu, JangBi, free, YellOw[ArnC] and LetaAlthough not a single player added Free to their team, he turned out to be more valuable than any other player who was seeded into this MSL.

The MSL is only a day away from its first official games! Will a team be able to come from behind to overcome all of our fourteen frontrunners? Whose fantasy teams are made of this season’s stars and which teams will be falling flat on their faces?
A ranking of current standings has been posted and will remain as the season progresses. It will be kept at the top of this post and updated frequently.
The issue of tiebreakers may come up, and for people with identical teams, you will be dealt with when necessary if I haven’t done so with you already. The first tiebreaker will be determined by which team has the higher ranked player(s) or least low ranked player(s). The next tiebreaker will be determined by overall win/loss ratio, determined only by games played in the MSL Group Stage and beyond. The third tiebreaker will be determined by the average rank of the opponents your team played against, followed by opponents’ overall win/loss ratios.

The Survivor League is over and the 32 players that make it to the MSL have been determined. With the fall of Luxury sabotaging many teams, there were still 14 teams to come out with all five players advancing to the MSL. Of those fourteen teams, only two were the same. On the other end of the spectrum there was only a single team to have none of his players advance.
Of the three players that absolutely nobody picked for their teams, two of them are into the MSL: type-b and Free. Players to advance that only had one pick were Memory, Dongrae and Hero. Memory was chosen by one of our top 14 teams.

As the first Survivor group began, the contest was officially closed with 218 total entries, which is about 100 more than the bracket contests I run usually get.
- Some interesting facts from the entries:
- Despite being only one point to pick up, in total votes Stork still comes in second... a true silver medalist.
- Luxury was the most popular pick, and also had more picks than all other Zerg players combined.
- No one picked type-b[s.g], Nal_keke or free (even though Free has a seed and therefore guarantees points).
- Terran was the most popular race with a total of 415 Terran players among all the teams
- Zerg was least popular with only 239 players among the entries.
- Teams still averaged spending more total on Zerg players than they did on Protoss ones.
- Leta was the most popular 0-point pick, third overall, and also the most popular terran pick, just ahead of Flash.
I might add a few more interesting tidbits later as I continue to think of them and compile data. but other than that... next update is two weeks from now when Survivor is completed and we can take a look at the teams that have an early start at the top of the standings.

Rather than do a bracket contest, which none of you would get completely right anyway, I thought I’d try something a little different for this season. This will be a fantasy Starcraft competition, each of you can choose a team of five progamers who you think will collectively do better in the MSL than everyone else’s team. The winner will get their choice of something cool: a Team Liquid shirt, some random Starcraft swag, cash, or maybe something else. I don’t know yet.
Contest Rules:
1. Each team is allowed up to five players.
2. Each team must include at least one player from each race. (Terran, Zerg & Protoss)
3. You can spend no more than 10 points creating your team. (explained below)
4. PM me with a list of your team before August 7, 14:00 TL Time. (You can post it here as well, but it won't be counted unless I get it via PM)
5. Each person only gets one entry.
6. Failure to follow any of these rules will result in disqualification.

Below is a list of players including those who have made it to Survivor and the seeds into the next MSL. Each listed player has a point value. You must spend that many points to place that player on your team. You may not exceed 10 points or your team will be disqualified. Their point values are based upon their performance in the previous MSL season. Players who have never before gotten past the MBC Preliminaries cost zero points to be placed on your team.

TempestScoring:
A player scores points based upon how far into the MSL he gets before being eliminated. The point scoring is as follows:
25th-32nd: 0.5 points
17th-24th: 1 point
9th-16th: 2 points
5th-8th: 4 points
3rd-4th: 6 points
2nd: 8 points
1st: 10 points
I’ll come up with determining tiebreakers if we get to that point.
