▶2승을 거둔 것은 까마득히 오래 전 이야기라 잘 기억도 나지 않는다. 오늘 2승을 거두기는 했지만 팀을 생각한다면 한 선수가 두 경기에 출전해서 이기는 것은 그리 바람직하지 않다. 각자 분담해서 1승씩해서 승리해야 더욱 시너지 효과가 난다. 이영호 선수와의 경기에서 동료가 밀어줘서 나가게 됐지만 앞으로는 승리를 나눠 갖고 싶다.
▶ Winning two games is a story of a distant past that I can barely remember it. I did win two games today but for the team, it is not desirable. Dividing up the task and winning 1 game each for the victory produces more synergy effect. In the game against Lee Young-Ho (By.Flash), I played because my teammates pushed me forward but I would like to spread out the wins.

-In the game against Kang Min (Nal_rA), you tried a risky cheese rush.
▶ 준비를 많이 했다. 여러 번의 시행 착오와 검증을 거친 전략이다. 상대가 더블 넥서스를 하지 않더라도 2배럭에서 바이오닉 병력을 모으면서 치즈 러시를 하려고 했다. 더블 넥서스를 했을 경우 6~70% 승리했다. 강 민 선수라서 5할 정도의 승률을 예상했지만 더블 넥서스를 해줘서 좀더 수월하게 이긴 것 같다.
▶ I had prepared a lot. It is a strategy that went through many trials and verifications. Even if my opponent didn’t double Nexus, I was going to pump bionic units from 2 barracks and then perform a cheese rush. In the case of double Nexus, my win percentage was 6~70%. Since it was Kang Min, I had predicted a 50% chance of winning but since he did a double Nexus, I think I won more easily.

▶세월이 빨리 흐르는 것 같다. 고참 선수들이 나이 어린 선수들에게 진다면 다른 선수에게 패할 때보다 충격이 크다. 더 빨리 잊혀진다는 느낌을 지울 수 없다. 그래서 오늘 경기하면서도 이 악물고 열심히 했다. 잊혀지고 싶지 않다.

▶ 잘한다는 이야기는 들었지만 붙어본 적이 없기 때문에 자신감을 갖고 경기했다. 이영호 선수처럼 전적이 많지 않은 상대는 어떤 패턴을 갖고 있는지 모르기 때문에 부담이 크다. 그래서 어린 선수들이나 갓 데뷔한 선수들에게는 패하지 않고 싶다. 상대 전적에서 뒤지면 앞으로의 선수 생활에 좋지 않은 영향을 준다. 다른 선수들에게 지는 것보다 더 많은 것을 빼앗기는 것 같은 느낌을 준다. 차라리 강 민에게 지는 것이 이영호에게 지는 것보다 낫다(웃음).

▶11시에 확장기지를 가져간 지 얼마되지 않아 파괴돼 이대로 흘러간다면 질 것 같았다. 내가 어떻게 이겼는지 모르겠다 .어느 순간 '내가 유리한가?'라는 생각이 들었다. 주도권을 잃지 않는데 주력했다. 드롭십이 쌓일 경우 주도권 싸움에서 지지 않는 것이 중요하다. 9시 확장을 늦게 발견한 것도 그런 이유다. 상대 병력의 이동 경로나 빈 곳을 찾기 위해 신경을 집중했다. 사실 엔지니어링 베이가 어디 있는지 기억도 나지 않았다(웃음).

I had focused on the enemy movement paths and openings. Actually, I could not remember where my Engineering Bay was (laughs).
-이겼다고 생각한 순간은.
- When did you think that you won.
▶마지막에 본진 팩토리 지역을 장악했을 때 유리하다고 생각했다. 그런데도 물량이 생각 밖으로 많이 나왔고, 11시와 1시도 타격을 입었다. 11시에 온 대규모 탱크를 막으면서 이겼다고 생각했다.
▶ I thought I was ahead at the end when I took over the factories. But unexpectedly, a lot of units came out, and 11 and 1 o’clock were damaged. As I blocked the mass Tanks at 11 o’clock, I thought I won.
-테란전 8연패를 끊었다.

▶ 공군 에이스 선수들은 2~3개월 동안 훈련을 받는다. 그 기간 동안 유행하는 전략이나 운영 같은 것을 따라잡기가 어렵다. 테란전 뿐만 아니라 저그전이나 프로토스전도 트렌드가 많이 바뀌었다. 나도 느끼는데 다른 선수들은 느끼지 못하겠는가. 이러한 갭을 메우기 위한 시간이 필요하다.
▶ Airforce ACE players go through training for 2~3 months. During those times, it is difficult to stay up-to-date with popular strategies and game management styles. It’s not just TvT – the trends for TvZ and TvP have changed a lot. Even I feel it, so how can other players not feel it. We need time to close this gap.

▶초반 운영이 좋아서 크게 당황했다. 이영호 선수가 앞으로 중요한 무대에 오르면서 경험을 쌓는다면 뛰어난 선수로 거듭날 수 있을 것 같다.

▶ 나도 승리에 목 말랐다. 팬 여러분들도 나 이상으로 내가 이기는 모습을 보고 싶었을 것이다. 들쭉날쭉한 모습 말고, 계속해서 이기는 모습 보여드리고 싶다. 전기리그는 공군 에이스의 기초를 다지는 리그이고, 후기리그부터는 확실히 변한 모습을 보여드리고 싶다.
▶ I was also thirsty for victory. You (the fans) probably wanted to see me win more than I did myself. Rather than being up and down, I want to show more consistency. **ditto. I forgot that most people aren't aware of the Chinese zodiac sign stuff (I don't think so, anyway). There are basically 12 animals and it goes in the same order in a cycle. So 1989 (my birth year) is the year of the snake and 12 years later will also be the year of the snake. So if Boxer and Flash are both born in the year of the monkey, then it means that they were born 12 years apart.
