Hey guys,
I have been feeling very "productive" at work today and decided write about the upcoming match between Samsung and CJ tonight. The LR is not up yet, so I decided to just start a new topic. Please excuse the formatting, I actually gotta do some work now so I will add more content and make it look nicer when I get home. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy and.... HYPE!!!
Head-to-head records this season: + Show Spoiler +
2012 Records (8 games played thus far for both teams): CJ: + Show Spoiler +L(0:3SK), W(3:1SAM), L(1:3T8), L(1:3KT), L(1:3WJN), L(0:3STX), W(3:0ACE), L(1:3T1) 2W-6L (-9)
SAM: + Show Spoiler +L(1:3CJ), W(3:1ACE), W(3:2SK), W(3:0T8), L(2:3WJN), W(3:2STX), W(3:2KT), W(3:1KT) 6W-2L(+7)
Analysis:
Set 1: Neo Outlier Player appearances and records on this map in 2012 CJ: Snow (0-2), Hydra (1-1), Leta (1-0) SAM: Shine (2-0), JangBi (1-0), Stork (1-0), RorO (0-1)
CJ has sent out Hydra and Snow the most on this map this season (5 appearances for hydra and 3 for snow). I think Hydra is the obvious choice because he's 4-1 dating back to last year and january likes to send out a protoss on this map (only twice this year but 7 total throughout the season) . For Khan, I think Shine would be the right choice for either hydra or snow; he is 2-0 vs protoss on this map and although it's been forever, he is actually pretty damn good at zvz if anybody remembers. If January is thinking what I am thinking and wants to snipe Hydra, I'd love to see her troll CJ by sending out Turn even though she never sent out a terran on this map before. She has full faith in his tvz (she always did and remember the playoffs ace-match against zero last year? T.T) and zvt has been the most problematic match-up for hydra this season (0-2 and one of those losses is from Turn). January can very well send Jangbi or Stork here as well, it's probably gonna be inevitable for either of those players to avoid hydra or effort; mind as well send out one of them now to play against one of the CJ zergs and avoid the latter. I feel like this has been January's general approach in utilizing stork and jangbi this season, send one of em out early (usually stork) and play mind games with the other (but usually end up not sending out jangbi at all). I'd say she will probably send out jangbi over stork (if she were to send out a toss), since jangbi is 0-2 against effort this season, so have him play cyclops instead. My prediction: Shine/Turn/Jangbi vs Hydra/Snow + Show Spoiler +
Set 2: Ground Zero Player appearances and records on this map in 2012: CJ: Hydra (0-1), Horang2 (0-1), Movie (0-1), Leta (1-0) SAM: Stork (2-1), RorO (0-1), TurN (1-0)
CJ played ton of different players on this map and the only player who played for than once was Leta. I think CJ will save Leta for later though... For Khan, stork seems to be main choice here, but note that Turn is 2-0 for the season on this map. My prediction: Stork/Turn vs Horang2/movie + Show Spoiler +
Set 3: Sniper Ridge Player appearances and records on this map in 2012: CJ: EffOrt (2-1), where(0-1), Horang2(0-1) SAM: TurN (3-0), Reality (1-0), RorO (0-1), JangBi (0-1)
Turn vs effort hype hype hype. January likes sending out terrans on this map, but I doubt it will be reality since his tvz still needs work and the likeliness effort being sent out for CJ (he is 3-1 for the season on this map). CJ can very well counter Turn with Leta's tvt here, and the only other person I can think of for Khan on this map would be stork, who is 2-0 for the season on this map. My prediction: Turn/Stork vs Effort/Leta + Show Spoiler +
Set 4: Neo Electric Circuit Player appearances and records on this map in 2012: CJ: Leta (0-1), Rush(0-1), sKyHigh (0-1), BByong (0-1), EffOrt (0-1) SAM: Reality (0-1), JangBi (0-1), Grape (0-2), RorO (1-0)
Neither team has played well on this map. Khan only has 2 wins (Jangbi and Roro) on this map and Roro's win was from 2 hatch lurker all-in. CJ has only two wins on this map as well (from effort and horang2) and it should be noted that CJ has sent out 4 of their terrans before and they all lost. For CJ, I think it will be either effort or leta again and the one who hasn't played yet should make an appearance. For Khan, it'll really depend on whether effort and hydra played already or not; if they did, I think January should send either Reality or Jangbi. My prediction: Jangbi/Reality vs Leta/Effort + Show Spoiler +
Set 5: Jade Player appearances and records on this map in 2012 CJ: Horang2 (1-1), Leta(1-0), sKyHigh (0-1) SAM: Reality (1-1), Stork (2-1), JangBi (1-0)
Most likely either pvp or pvt if it comes to this set. For Khan, jangbi or stork if one of them hasn't been sent out yet and perhaps reality. For CJ, I can see any of one of their tosses making an appearance for this map. My prediction: Stork/Reality/Jangbi vs Movie/Horang2/Snow + Show Spoiler +
Overall Line-up Prediction: Line-up predictions for CJ (in order of player's importance): Effort, Hydra, Horang2, Leta, Movie/Snow To counter khan's toss line, it makes sense to me that CJ should mainly focus on utilizing their zerg and protoss cards. So, I think effort and hydra will be sent out for sure, and horang2 as well for pvp sniping. January plays zergs the least, so I don't see CJ sending out any other terran than Leta. Finally, probably movie/snow for another pvp sniping.
Line-up predictions for Khan: Turn, Stork, Jangbi, Shine, and Reality/Brave There's no chain reaction, so brave probably won't play but perhaps he'll be sent out for a pvz. Reality could be a possibility if CJ zergs are sent out already. Hopefully stork and jangbi both don't end up playing zergs and lose...
Samsung has been on a roll (and exact opposite for CJ), but I think it's gonna be very close match tonight. January, please send out shine and turn!

I'm definitely hoping for JangBi vs Effort rematch because last game they played together, + Show Spoiler +JangBi lost in a disgustingly fashion. Now I think about it, any matchup of Stork/JangBi vs Effort/Hydra would be delightful.

Samsung is sooo scary this season, they'll probably go undefeated this round imo

I never underestimate Samsung's ability to crash and burn when least expected. But man, this could be the year!

In the past they crash and burn because no one on that team could vZ after FBH stopped being a TvZ bonjwa. This season, whether due to maps or Roro/Shine being great practice partners, they've been killing zergs.
Interesting map stats though and who teams send out. Teams really do try to change players around to keep their opponent guessing. Brave and Chain Reaction seem to be the one major exception.

I want CJ to win but i think KHAN's momentum is too great T_T

Stork vs Leta is what I want. Please! Maybe Sniper's Ridge?

How about Turn vs Horang2? M&M vs Disruption Web? I'll place my bets on Turn.

I refer you to the round 1, matches against ACE and KT. stork4ever is right.
Sadly.

I don't know man, I heard that D-Webs are pretty good at stopping ranged units.

Anyway, I'm leaning towards Khan this time. If CJ wins this then I guess they're back after their horrible round 2.
