Snow
"I don't have an Achilles heel"
On January 8th, Hite Entus' Snow displayed the power of protoss splash units to defeat Hogil in a teamkill match during the PDPop MSL 2010 Ro16:Day2 held at the Munlae Hero Center.
Snow looked to be lagging behind all game due to not being able to fend off Hogil's all over the map style harrass, but he utilized splash units like archons and reavers to take the win. Snow said that because it was a teamkill match, he feels torn inside, but still wants to make it to the Ro8.
Q How do you feel winning.
A It feels weird. The feeling of giving your teammate a loss is something inexplicable in words.
Q How did you practice.
A Since we are on the same team, we prioritized ProLeague practie, and fit individual league practice in whenever we had time.
Q How does it feel playing a teammate
A First of all it is hard to even prepare for the game. You start paying attention to what people around you are saying. Teammates were worried that if I lost I wouldn't even speak to him.
Q The game went into lategame and it looks like you were getting tired.
A I was honestly losing hope. I've been performing poorly in PvZ recently, and Hogil is good during practice. Although I wasn't very confident, because it's an important match, I kept fending off his attacks just barely, and somehow it all worked out.
Q You didn't play during ProLeague today.
A I wanted to but never got a chance to. Because we have so many good people on our team, sometimes I don't get to play.
Q If you win one more time, you are in the Ro8, and will receive a seed into the next MSL.
A Since I can prepare more comfortably now, I will give it my all and make sure I advance to the Ro8.
Q Your usage of splash units was excellent.
A My plan was to retain gas units as best as possible. I built alot of cannons to protect my gas units. Because I didn't even lose that many corsairs to scourge, I was able to produce alot of units to counter his army.
Q Midas says he has your number.
A I don't have any critical weaknesses. I may have some weaknesses, I don't know. I guess if he says I have weaknesses, I'll have to find them and fix them. I hope he tells me what they are after the Ro16 is over.
Q Any last words.
A I thank all my fans who always come out to support me. I'll do my best so please watch over me.

Winner of ZerO vs Neo.G_Soulkey

ZerO
"I've been getting lucky when it comes to brackets"
On January 8th, Woongjin Stars' Zero defeated teammate Neo.G_Soulkey in the PDPop MSL Ro16:Day2, advancing one step closer to receiving a seed in the next MSL. We met with Zero who started out 2011 with a win.
Q You are one game closer to the Ro8.
A I am not overly excited because I've always thought my Ro16 group is quite easy(Laughs). I'm just happy I won my first game of 2011.
Q It was an intense game.
A Neo.G_Soulkey put up a better fight today than I expected him to. Even I was surprised at some of his plays. However, he's still Neo.G_Soulkey so I never thought I'd lose [T/N: ouch]. I just thought 'Hmm he's better than I thought.'
Q Weren't you in trouble when he counter attacked and sniped your spire.
A I thought I had the game in the bag before that but when my spire went down I thought 'I might be in trouble soon.' But I was positive that if I attacked right then and there I would win. I never thought I was in danger of losing.
Q Why are you so confident against Neo.G_Soulkey.
A I've lived with him for so long, and since we sit next to eachother in practice, I know him better than anybody else. So I am confident. If other people on our team played him often, they too would become confident(Laughs). I crush him in practice. I didn't say it publicly before, in case players on other teams got overconfident, but he definitely plays better in live matches than in practice.
Q How is your preparation for Winners League going.
A We lost so much in R2. Even while we were losing, I personally believed we would pick ourselves back up in R3. Starting tomorrow, I think we will start doing well again. Not because it's WL, but because we've experienced being at the bottom of the barrel, so it's time for us to rise to the top again.
Q Are you confident in your next game.
A I don't think I'll have a problem obtaining a seed into the next MSL. I think this season I got really lucky with my brackets. Since Neo.G_Soulkey isn't a bad player, I think he will do much better next season.
Q Any last words.
A Last time we were interviewed, we joked around that we wouldn't practice at all since it's a teamkill match, but I think some people took it seriously and said stuff like, "You're a professional, why aren't you doing what you're being paid to do," or "You must not care about us fans." We were just joking, and I hope you know that there are no progamers who would intentionally try to play sloppily, and play along with our jokes. Happy new years, and happy new years to my teammates as well.

Winner of RorO vs Kal

Kal
"I knew he would 12 hatch"
On January 8th, STX Soul's Kal got off to a smooth start by defeating Wemade Fox's Roro in the PDPop MSL Ro16:Day2. After being knocked out of the Bacchus OSL 2010 Ro8 the previous day, he still seemed a little dazed from the shock, but he had not forgotten his priorities completely.
Q You are in a favorable position to advance to the Ro8.
A I am happy to be one step closer to obtaining a seed, and I will be sure to not get overconfident and win my next game as well.
Q Were you planning on using today's strategy.
A Nope, but after losing yesterday, I wanted to give some changes to my play. I felt like if I went with a management style macro game with low spirits, I would play too conservatively, so I just went all out. I thought it would work because Roro likes to open greedy.
Q Did you plan the cannon rush.
A That's something that came at the spur of the moment. I just assumed he would 12 hatch and went in with the mindset of ending the game with zealots. Of course he 12 hatched. Roro always 12 hatches.
Q Do you think he will 12 hatch in the next game.
A I don't care either way, but I think he will for some reason. If it's a 4 player map, I will bet 10 bucks he goes 12 hatch(Laughs).
Q Have you gotten over your loss from yesterday.
A I don't know. Because I did not even imagine that I would be knocked out, I felt dazed even after I got back. Even now I feel like I have OSL games to prepare for, and I can't believe that I don't. I hope I can leave the past behind and focus on upcoming MSL and ProLeague matches.
Q Are you awkward with Modesty now.
A Nope. We are both men of few words, so we don't talk much to begin with. Nothing has changed from our usual interactions(Laughs).
Q Winners League is starting soon.
A I have been preparing hard, and practice has been going well, and our team's atmosphere is cheery. I am excited for WL.
Q Your mindset going into your next game.
A Now I only have one individual league left. I want to give it my all and do better than I did in the OSL.
Q Any last words.
A I am so sorry to have let my fans down, who cheered for me and had such high hopes for me. However, I won't be deterred by that loss and practice even harder in the future, so please keep your faith in me and watch over me.

Winner of Ssak vs Calm
+ Show Spoiler +
Ssak
"I'm feeling confident about the Ro16 for some reason"
On January 8th, SK Telecom's Ssak defeated STX Soul's Calm in the PDPop MSL Ro16:Day2. Even though the team's atmosphere was down after its defeat in the Shinhan Bank Proleague 10-11 Season Winners League: week1, he rekindled a flicker of hope by besting Calm. We were able to meet with Ssak, who continued his streak of defeating ex-league winners, such as Flash in the Ro32, by crushing Calm this time.
Q How do you feel after winning.
A Because I already lost my PL match, I would have been very depressed if I had lost this game. I am happy because I won quite easily.
Q Did you foresee his lurker bust.
A Initially I didn't think he would push in. I built bunkers without knowing what he was going for. He had alot of lurkers so I built 3, and then I felt like he was committing to an all-in push so I built the 4th bunker. I had some leftover minerals, and I thought that it would be frustrating as hell if by chance he really was committing to an all-in and I lost to that.
Q Your meteoric rise to fame after ousting Flash must be pressuring.
A It's not that bad. I've just been preparing for PL matches as usual.
Q You had a tough schedule.
A I didn't have alot of time but my team took my schedule into consideration alot so I was able to prepare well.
Q It must be regretful that your team lost to Flash
A It is indeed regretful that our team let Flash take 3 kills and beat us. I hope we can beat him in R4, and we should do our best to win. If I am given a chance to play, I will do my best to win as well.
Q You are one step away from obtaining a seed into the next MSL. Are you confident of your next game.
A The public perceives my TvZ as weak but I am confident. My recent games haven't been the greatest but for some reason I think I can do well in the Ro16.
Q Any last words.
A First and foremost it is regretful that we lost our PL match today. And after our PL match, there wasn't even time to eat until my MSL match started, but Coach Choi [OOOOOOOV] bought me something to eat and I did well as a result. I want to thank him.
