I know its a long shot, but there were no apparent drawbacks in trying. Besides, any TLnetter I've met irl has been cool.

A Georgia Tech LAN? I got a friend who goes to Tech. I guess the LAN is gonna have Starcraft, right? When is it? Like, time of day. I'm just like 30 minutes North of Atlanta in Marietta, so its not out of the way for me.

I don't play DotA, and I'm really bad at CS:S, so I don't know if I'd be a good help to you though.

Anyway relay the message to your friend and maybe you guys could both go. It's usually a good time! And really bad at cs:s could mean a lot of things....as long as you know spots and the competitive maps you should be fine. The rest is just following directions^^

I'll see if I can go. I used to play CS:S, and I know maps like Dust, Office, and a few more okay, but its just been forever since I played it last. I guess I could try to brush up on it and play some in the next few weeks. I played Day of Defeat competitively a while ago, so I guess I'm not TERRIBLE. Also gotta make sure I don't work >_>

My friend is into fighting games mostly, like KoF and Guilty Gears. Does the LAN have things like that?

I think I'll probably be able to make it. I'm interested in playing SC there, never played it at a LAN there. And if you need me for CS:S I can play that too. I'll just have to play some of it to relearn the game.

I know a guy from my old team named SCC-GaTech who was a decent sc player (D+/C-). If there is a black guy there playing sc ask him if that's him and tell him arcology said hi.

But uh.. I don't play CS-S but I'll play DOTA and SC~.
I am the worst FPS player I've ever known and probably like the 2nd worst at DOTA.

And I think I know that Gatech lan, I did graduate from that hellhole afterall.
Isn't it held by some frats and such?
Last time, I think assem and hiroko(?) were like the players to beat from what I heard.
Some gook and an ex-pro guy ~_~ talk about lame!

Anyway, I'll let you know soon if we need someone for dota/sc. But like I said in the OP we're really aching for a 5th in source. It hasn't been held by frats the two times I went. It was organized by some school organization and run by a few TA's or regular guys. Assem was at the first one I went to, but not at the second. Hiroki has been there both times. I'm 0-3 vs him but I think when I played seriously at peak of skill I could take games off him in a series. He's really really freaking polite. First lan I played against him in finals and lost 0-2 of course but since we were both korean we did the whole exchange thing and I was like ' kekeke i'll practice hard for next time '
