Six girls from my work will be coming tonight, lead by none other than the little cutie who I must admit I've been crushing on a bit lately. None of them have ever seen me play, and of course when they ask if I can play guitar or if I can sing, I have to say, "No, not really."
I'm opening my set with New Slang by The Shins. It's very simple, vocals are easy, guitar is straightforward, and it'll be a nice warm-up for whatever comes next.
For my second song, BLANK.... ... .... . .. ... .. . .. .
And to end my set, I'll be dedicating a song to my sister because it's her birthday! I'm also doing this one, which is Red and Purple by the Dodos, last because it's in Open A tuning, which means I don't want to have to tune in the middle of my set and then tune back right after I finish playing it. I'll just finish playing, thank my audience, maybe give them my name this time, and descend from the stage to get smothered in an endless sea of breasts!
So, any suggestions for my second song? I think I might record and upload while I'm practicing today, so my dear readers can have a listen to my feeble squawking! I'm also going to try to "ease up on the talent juice" this time, as my good friend CTStalker proposed, so we'll see how that goes!
