Hi guys this is former SC2 pro FnaticRain. Please don't get confused with SKTRain Lmfaooo. First of all, my English kinda sucks balls so please take into consideration and if u find any grammatical mistakes please let me know.
I'm currently living in Sacramento, CA. First time I got here I couldn't find my own apartment cause they asked me to submit some documents that don't have. So I looked up for the homestays and I found my host family and lived with them for about 4months. Now I moved out with friends I made here and we found our own apartment.
I've finished my first semester successfully and now I'm on the winter vacation. One thing that I realized is that people literally don't give a shit as much as I thought about what I did in the past. I was expecting something like... I'd be a cool kid because once SC2 was fairly big in US. Actually, my SC2 career helped me getting some friends, I didn't mean to brag but some of my friends looked me up through google and now everyone knows that I played SC2 professionally. Also, it was more difficult to make local friends than I thought. Most of my friends are either Koreans or international students from other countries and my English doesn't seem to be improved.
Now I completely adjusted myself but I had some difficulties because of the cultural differences. When I was in Korea I went out to drink almost everyday, but in here.. I rarely go out. In my opinion, people here are more tend to do something creative rather than drinking and being fucked up.
Honestly I don't know why I'm writing this... I'm just extremely bored LOOL.

haha so I was right when I thought being a Esports Pro captures people's attention. Nice to know you worked things out with your living situation.

Haha, just practice and your English will be amazing soon. Good thing your living situation is nice now! It's a shame to hear about the lack of drinking, hope you can torture your liver repeatedly in the near future.
Fighting! :D

Enjoy winter break Rain. If you get a chance while your stateside go to some of our national parks, Yosemite is only a few hours away. They are incredible.
P.S. Your written English is better than you think, it flows pretty well and isn't grammatically terrible by any means.

If you can use such casual idioms as "kinda sucks balls" or "literally don't give a shit" properly I'd say your English is quite good! (Slang is always the hardest part of a language to learn imo). Only noticeable mistake is the line that should say: "now I am completely adjusted".
Anyways it's really cool that you're making it here, if you keep going out and meeting people I'm sure you'll make lots of friends!

You're written English is good... I read your posts/blogs in the past and honestly someone should seriously do a short documentary on life after pro gaming. I think that would be really interesting and give people a more grounded perspective on shit... gl next semester and please keep blogging.
