I have a job now where I have tons of time to kill and I've been recently getting into podcasts to fill that time. So far I've only been listening to freakanomics, which I love (and getting caught up on sotg). Since I know TL is the expert on anything and everything I was hoping for people to share some of their favourite podcasts, really anything and everything is welcome as ill likely check them all out

I really enjoy KCRW's Left Right and Center. It's a political podcast produced by NPR Santa Monica/OC I believe.

The Executivves StarCraft podcast by dignitas and others is quite good but occassional.

I really wish DJ wheat still supported Itunes..

If you're into any games workshop stuff, early 40k radio (until about episode 100 or so, whenever they change crews) and podhammer are pretty entertaining

d6generation is supposed to be good for general board game stuff as well :D

I only really listen to science podcasts these days. My personal favorite is The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, who talk about all things science and pseudoscience. Smart guys with a good show.

"stuff you should know" is kinda nice, it's not really scientific, but it's very entertaining, because they usually talk about exotic topics. (vacation in antarctica, cheese...)

If you're into gaming, I'd recommend the Giant Bombcast.

"Dan Carlin's hardcore history", as the name suggests, is a history podcast. A funny one I like is the "Yogpod", hilarious. If you like philosophy, "the partially examined life" is quite good.

joe rogans podcast is fun and interesting. You'll learn a lot, and disagree with a lot of things he says. However you learn a lot, especially about theories and things you likely wouldn't have stumbled upon yourself. Additionally it's nice to hear it from someone who is quite funny. Also I have a huge hard-on for MMA so if you do to, get involved!

I listen to a ton of podcasts, almost all of them comedy. Here are my 3 favs.

My Brother My Brother And Me - an advice show. This one is my favourite. They are very funny. Here is a link to their sampler it is an intro to their podcast.

Throwing Shade - Another comedy podcast. This one is a bit more racy haha. Its a gay guy and a woman that talk mainly about gay/women's rights issues. Its ridiculously funny.

Polygon: The Besties Podcast - a comedy gaming podcast. Has one of the hosts from My Brother My Brother and Me

All of these are on Itunes.

Im a bit late here but you've prolly listened to all of the recommendations now. I recommend the #1 most downloaded podcast in the world. the ricky gervais show. Listen, ive listened to all their stuff (radio, podcast, specials etc) about 50times each and im not kidding. Its fucking dynamite.
