EPTSunday night Catz flew in, and I picked him up from the airport. It had been a while since I had seen him. It's a little weird, though- when you watch someone stream daily, it's almost as if no time really passes. We caught up a little, he made fun of my Chevelle album that was playing, as well as the words I say, and I made fun of him for getting his trash kicked by qxc.
That night we stayed with a really cool guy that messaged me after I had posted in the StarCraft 2 Player of Utah FB page (264 members strong!) with the tag of Chemist. We got up that morning and went to get stuff for snowboarding. Catz thought he wouldn't need much, and Chemist and I both laughed. Wearing a cotton jacket snowboarding- not the best idea.
"But I won't crash." Heh. Good luck dood.
I'm gonna skip a bit of time here- not much happened. The rest of Monday we unpacked, went to the mountains and looked for cheap passes. Tuesday we snowboarded (which kinda didn't go to well). Wednesday was a whole lot of sleeping.
Thursday is where it gets interesting. We went to pick up Mia, and found out she had a later flight. We went to Jordan's house (aka Brutus, really cool guy as well) and then went to this freaking amazing Mexican restaurant (at least I thought so). I had a horchata to drink, which I'd never had, at Catz's suggestion. Stuff is good. Salsa was really good as well. After eating, we went to pick up Destiny.
I got trolled from the start. "Who are you?"
"I'm Dalguno."
"Holy shit! Catz, it's Dal mother-fucking guno! What's your last name?" He's exactly as I would have expected.
From there, we drove back to Park City, about a 30 minute drive. They're talking about Starcraft, I'm listening, driving. We get through Parley's Canyon, taking Kimball Junction, and my dad calls. I answer. Start through the exit, going, going... Light ahead, other cars are going..
"So just as you're getting out of the canyon..." my dad is saying
"Cade, Cade! It's a red light!" as a car honks and swerves out of the way.
Whoops. So, yeah, I almost killed us all with my sick multitask.
Kind of a lame story. I was gonna make a huge long blog about the whole week, but like I said, I had to come home early. But, a year ago today I joined TL. I avoided joining earlier, because in all honesty, this site looked ghetto. I was a B.net forumer, and that was good enough for me.
But, I'm glad I joined. TL has literally changed my life. Without it, I wouldn't be playing much SC2 at all. I'd be back in gold league, 7RRing every matchup. I would never have met all the friends I have now, never would have gotten the advice I have here, never felt nerdchills, never met Catz, Destiny. My life would be completely different. I love you guys. I love this site.
