When I was a young nerd learning the ins and out of vidja games on the computer I remember playing a few amazing games on my neighbour's computer. I pretty much fell in love with them all from the start but out of the 3 of my favourite games I can only remember 2 of the names.
The first one was Rampage. You chose between king kong, godzilla, and some other thing and the idea was that you break buildings down, and jump off of them before they collapse. OMG THIS WAS LIKE THE BEST IDEA FOR A GAME EVER. I'm happy to say that I managed to download a version of it and beat it again to relive my childhood glory.
The second game was Pirates! What an epic fucking game this was. There has been a remake that illustrated the game in full with fantastic Pirate dialogue and swashbuckling left and right. The old version came with a map of the West Indies so you were always referencing back to it to see what pixelated shore was most similar to the map you had in hand. I srsly felt like such a baller pirate at age 9 or however old I was.
The third game....I just can't find it or remember the name or anything. I'll tell you what I do remember so maybe one of you will be able to tell me what it is.
When you started the game it asked you for a password before you even could play! I always thought this was the strangest thing. Either the name of the game, or the password had something to do with "Alpha Romeo, or Foxtrot Beta" i don't really recall. The basis of the game was Mech stuff. It was futurstic and you would buy a certain model of mech machine that you would fight with. You could upgrade to a better model, and go to different places for different things. I remember the fights...first person from the mechabot that you had, and it was rather pixelated and everything was boxed and you'd have to fight whatever it sent at you...I reaallly don't rmeember much else except that I really liked it.
If anyone knows the game that I'm talking about PLZ TELL ME AND THX<3

Mechwarrior? Or some game from the Battletech universe?
|
HOLY SHIT YESSSS I LOVE YOU
|
Apparently it's the first in the series too
|
No Prob man, I've played the shit out of the Mechwarrior franchise. Love them games!
|
Okay, Rampage was the shit. They used to have this in the lodge at my local ski place; my friends and I would always end up spending more time playing than actually skiing.
|
dude I remember playing rampage on the N64 with my friends and little brothers when I was like 8-9
awesome game for it's time
|
I always loved the fact that they had ppl in the buildings. and if u punched just right you could nom, them

I have Rampage 2 on the N64. Fucking Lizzie was awesome, everyone fought to play as her at my house. Which version had you eat toxic shit and made you into a bat mutant thing and you could ride tanks or jets (you'd like, jump on top of them and stuff).
Was it #1 or #2.

definetly 2. Cuz i dont remember that. I just remmeber i fucking HATED helicopters. They would dps your health down so fast wasn't even fair. And you would have to look up at awkward angles and try to punch them out of the sky, or jump and punch them.
Oh god that also reminded me of some of the levels that had a train track. Random train trolley would come and shoot one little black spot at you that would somehow knock you off the building and you'd fall down and die.
And how cool was going through water. Your character would always make sure to tell you where you are by sticking a limb out of the water....sadly I think it drained your health the longer you would stay under.
