Definitely time management, and school needs to come first.
I have heard that you can request a temporary ban from the TL moderators until your exams are over, if you seriously cannot get your work done.
Although extreme, I suppose requesting your own ban may be worth it too.

@darkplasmaball that is a little extreme i think the most important thing is to balance school and fun. The expresion all work and no play comes to mind. if yhou go all out on school for even the week during exams you can burn out really fast its important to have a little bit of fun ^.^ and btw i love your sig the daily is a religious institutuion!

I don't really understand how a temporary ban can stop you from laddering but yeah I hate fucking exams!

Although extreme, I suppose requesting your own ban may be worth it too. I have seen many people do this, but I dont see how it helps at all. With a temporary ban you are still able to read TL. The amount of time spent posting is only a small fraction of the amount of time one would spend on TL. edit: especially considering the OP only has 4 posts so he doesnt really post on TL anyways.

Study ALL day. Then play sc ALL night. Perfect balance.

Yeah i just started on TL.net but been a hardcore gamer since i was like 4 lol just trying to get on the SC2 sites and give a little advice i have picked up over the years. If you have any ideas again go a head and let us know the ban might help some (but definatly not all) of us so any advice is good advice to someone out there

Another big thing is if you have some spare money ($25-40) a nice treat for after your exam week is over is to buy an hour or two of coaching from someone like VTDesrow (streams right here on TL.net through justin.tv) that way your skill level can still increase even while you can't ladder all day!
|
i have tried doing this, studying and playing games
didn't work for me =/ started playing diablo2 with my roommate like a week before exams..
that didn't go too well
|
Just took a taste of my own medicine and booked VTDesrow for the saturday before my exam week to help me relax and prepare to run the gauntlet that is 5 examns in 4 days
|
I've been laddering more than usual and I'm on exam week.
I wrote an exam this morning that I studied a whole 20minutes-1hour for after pulling an all nighter of sc2. I think I got a B.
XD

Just uninstall sc2. It takes like an hour to install and you will usually think twice in that period of time.
|
exams aren't hard if you paid attention in class. drop the end of the world mentality and take it for what it is - just exams. if you study, then you will pass. there is plenty of time for laddering if you really enjoy it.
