So the name RumZ, which was a nickname that plays off a few of the first letters of my last name, has gotten a little old.
Recently on the ladder, and somehow more anyoingly frequently, the phrases,
"Dude, I love Rum"
"Rum is the shit, what is your favorite kind?"
"IS THERE A LITTLE CAPTAIN IN YOU RUMZ?"
and a few more dealing with a certain Sailor Jerry and other alcoholic references have really made me absolutely despise my sc2 handle. Whenever I log in to RumZ.232 all I can see is some drunk bastard playing the grind hours of online video games with a battle next to him wasted. It really has begun to piss me off.
So with this being said.. I'd like to grab a new handle. There's a free name change available, so I'm going to delve into these names, and I'm hoping the community could give me some feedback on some of the ideas that I've floated around. My close friends that play just think whatever is a good idea, so it's not even worth asking them. As a GM and a clan leader across a few Blizzard games and communities, it turns into a handjob real fast with just 'oh yeah that's great,' or 'ohhhh perfect' and etc.
The names that I've considered so far:
Fiarce - It's the name of the toon I've played on wow, DaoC, and Everquest. My one problem is that it comes close to farce... which.. I really don't want to deal with that nonsense..
Chrononaut - I think this is a really cool word I came across recently.
Starwisp - Another cool word. The name is interesting, but it doesn't have to deal with time traveling. But a concept involving propulsion.
Esper - I think it's a cool name but I feel like it's a bit much maybe?
The last name I was considering was "ShiningPolaris" but.... Polaris Prime is a popular map from SC2's predecessor.
Anyway.. just looking for input. Don't tell me that I should just stick with RumZ. I am actually sick of the handle after years of alcohol references being tied in with my name.

Ok seriously though, I think you should choose the first 3 letters of the race you play, then add 2 letters from your first name and 2 letters from your surname and then see if you have something going on there. You should play around to make sure it's not dorky either.
Btw, can you tell me how you get a name change?

In order to make it cool you have to capitalize random letters though:
e.g.
espeR
eSPer
esPeR
EspEr

Just try something funny.
Or a really obscure character reference or celebrity from a while back.
edit: I did think esper sounded cool. I'd go with either Esper or EspEr. Probably the first if it were me.

Of the ones you mentioned, Starwisp is probably the best. I prefer Esper but you'll probably get a ton of Final Fantasy comments. Chrononaut sounds tacky and like you said about Fiarce, it's too close to Farce.
ShiningPolaris you'd probably get annoying comments about both the Polaris map and about the song, considering how popular it was in the DDR/ITG community...

Why not do something trolltastic? Something like probeRusher, and play zerg or something. Although making smurf pro accounts, and then doing completely retarded crap is funny too.
