+ Show Spoiler [Old Post] +Well to make a long story short, I have slacked off immensely and am now faced with the deadline for applying for housing in 2 days, I am going into A&M as a Mechanical Engineering major as a freshman this coming fall. So I was wondering if there is a starcraft community present (obviously there is because of the lan that will take place in June, but I want to see how many are specifically in A&M), and am also looking to see if anyone needs a roommate (Pm me please).. EDIT JULY 16: So I just finished my NSC, I'm all registered and good to go! But I don't have a place to live xD. I would really prefer not to live alone (I'm just a 17year old child  ). So if anyone is in need of a roommate please PM with info etc.
EDIT: Someone else bumped it..not me xD I guess now we can use this thread to talk about the Texas AnM TeamLiquid crew. I finally have a place to live at college station and I'm all set to start school. See ya folks then!

Yea there is. I think there is a weekly lan at this guy named "Frink's" house. The main gang when I was there was mcian,chris,tim,morrell,this one girl can't remember her name,this one other korean guy that doesnt play sc and me. Well also Frink now and we also have a B protoss player but he's too busy with school. So last I remember it was around 5-6 people but I think we have more now, not 100%. But morrell(monion on teamliquid) knows the specifics about the starcraft players at A&M :D

We have 5 people who regularly lan. And by regularly I mean we lan'd every weekend for about two months earlier this semester. ^_^
We also have our CSL team and we got to the playoffs this year, which was a blasty

I'm guessing you are planning to live off campus right? Some places will pair you up with a roommate. Some apartments I would recommend you to look at is the District, the Heights and 2818 place. Good luck finding a place to live and Welcome to Aggieland!

Yeah I'm gonna be off-campus, I'm trying TL first to see If I can get any TL roomates, but if that fails I'm just gonna go for the standard crap :\.

I didn't have any time for other stuff anyways  , I didn't spend the night at college station so we had to drive back/forth from Houston both days, and as soon as I finished class registration (at 2PM) I was exhausted (I pulled an all-nighter before the first day of the NSC because of MSL) and went straight home. Also you were right about people saying "howdy", its like they're robots programed to do it >.<.

Now that I'm going (hopefully ^^) to have more time this year, I definetely need to meet up with you guys. I was pretty bummed I didn't really get to enjoy the starcraft community last year.
