Herro TL!

Yesterday the SC For Life LAN took place at Seoul PC in the Washington D.C area. this blog entry is all of my media and replays that I got from the event. Unfortunately this LAN hit a major setback when the original LAN center basically out of the blue told Xeris a week before the LAN they were shutting down their LAN center.

"Ummm u could have liek told us this a bit earlier. thx 4 pretty much focking us over... -_-"

SeoulPC isn't the kind of location for the high magnitude type of event that Xeris envisioned when first planning for this event but with travel plans for some people in place already, pretty much damage control shifted the event to Seoul PC which has been host of 3 previous DC area LAN's.

It was VERY fun having some really great players there like Nyoken, Machine, Semih, Gretorp... There were some really amazing games played. I'm really glad I got games with both Nyoken and Machine in tournament play.

I played alright, after getting crushed horribly by Nyoken right off the bat I managed to turn it around making it out of my group and into the quarterfinals vs Machine where I lost in 3 games. All in all I only dropped games to Nyoken and Machine all day. I played Machine pretty well.

As far as some of the other games I haz no clue other than some of the epic second stage games which are talked about later.

enough talking, onto the videos:

Little walk around before the group stage games started. Not everyone was there yet.

Princeton Team totally awsum coming to another DC LAN.

JoeKim playing with 6 inch monitor size.

Semih vs Gretorp group stage.

tossim vs nyoken quarter finals game one.

looking at second stage bracket and tossim vs nyoken game 2

Gretorp and Semih semifinals

Nyoken Machine semifinals

Interviews with HatchetWound, CaucasianAsian, valtyr and LordWeird

Interviews with JoeKim njoylife

Sadly my camera battery died so no finals footage or post tournament interviews. (FAIL)

And I have 4 replay packs.

Nyoken: http://rapidshare.com/files/304129202/NyokenRepPack.zip
Semih: http://rapidshare.com/files/304129735/SemihRepPack.zip
LF: http://rapidshare.com/files/304129608/LFRepPack.zip
Krackling: http://rapidshare.com/files/304130379/KracklingRepPack.zip
Recommended games:
+ Show Spoiler +
tossim vs Nyoken both games were pretty sick.
Nyoken vs Semih game 2
LF vs Machine games 2 and 3.
and haven't watched anything else I'm sure there are other gg's in here.

Didn't get Machines rep pack sadly but there are 6 Machine games, he played nyoken 3 games and me 3 games.

How about THAT for some media coverage...

Big props to Machine, JoeKim, Semih, n.joy_life, the princeton gosus, Never, valtyr and whoever else traveled from afar to attend this event. Also great play Nyoken u rock yo.

While this LAN didn't quite formulate into what was originally hoped for I hope everyone had fun yesterday I know I did.

Until next time!

Even though I lost everything, it was still totally worth the drive to come to this.

Any idea when the next one will be?

I believe Xeris will be planning sometime very epic for next month or so. He was very dissatisfied with the unfolding of events that preceded this LAN- rightfully so, as am I. Might not be in the DC area though, will have to wait and see. (hopefully it is haha)

I'm going to hound Magnum to get off for the next one. He bailed on me this time, and prevented me from going, so he OWES me a roadtrip now.

the lan was fun. i wish some ppl finished their matches faster. it was REAL boring sitting for like 2hours doing nothing (gretorp im looking at u).

Despite the widescreen monitors i felt like i played decently. I played better in my first matches then in the final matches. Kinda weird since i was more warmed up for my later games.

GGs to everyone. Looking forward to the december lan or whenever it is.
