Haha, that's not friendly No, it was actually because when they were doing the Q&A QXC did the give high five pull away thing artosis does.
How does that relate to his own teammate denying a post-win celebration?
I don't know if you've ever played a competitive sport, but if my teammate denied me a high five after he had success and I failed, I would be pretty pissed.

He probably has the ability to all kill FXO several times over to be honest. Tiger is a complete noname, Curious only recently requalified for Code A and has never made it past ro32, and Squirtle has had very unimpressive CodeA performance. Compare to Bomber who 4-2'd IMMVP in the Code A finals and recently beat MC at DH:Summer. If you're FXO captain: who else would you have sent out to deal with StarTale? No one is underestimating Bomber, ST did not send out their A team for this game. They sent out some of the second team to get some experience. I did hope ST would send out their b team and FXO manage to catch them off guard and steal a win. But it was not meant to be, hope FXO get at least one win in the GSTL. Also Sheth <3 Eh, I'm sure they just want to save Bomber as their Ace. They did send out Squirtle as their third - he's a provably solid PVP player, and has given many solid showings for Startale in GSTL. At that point imo it was either Ace, Squirtle, or July. Maybe they didn't want to send July into a ZVP, feeling that a PVP would be more likely? (Unlike much of FXO, they probably have a good idea of what Oz is capable of, since he used to be on fOu, and they've probably played vs him multiple times on ladder before)
I actually find it really intriguing - didn't notice this at first - that every time ST lost a match, they chose a mirror match to take out the player they lost to. If this is their early-mid team league strategy (at least against FXO), It makes sense they wouldn't feel comfortable sending July out into a ZVZ, when he's notoriously shaky at them lately, dropping some of his only games recently to ZVZs. Or maybe curious is just turning into a ZVZ sniper... or a really strong player overall (71% ZVZ 72% ZVT, pretty damn good!) and they want to field him more often.
I don't really feel like StarTale was deliberately bringing anything but their A-game to this match, just because we didn't see Bomber or July fielded.

even if ST did field their B team, it's not like it was a diss or anything. it's important to get these guys experience for later matches

How come they don't play their best players in the team matches? I'm new to this sort of tournament... but I would have expected to see nestea as the final IM player. Are they confident that they can win without their best players?

Teams want to build depth for the playoffs, and also in case a player slumps (ie gets a gf and stops practicing).
Losing a single match this early has very little affect on a teams playoff chances since so many games are played. Strong teams will constantly field their mid-range of skill team players (players with little-to no televised experience with good results in practice/ladder) to give them experience when they're playing against a team that they feel they have a decent chance with them. FXO and foU are two teams that fit that criteria. The weaker teams will almost always field their strongest players regardless of who they are playing, which is why you see sC/sheth/qxc playing.
foU's result wasn't quite ideal, 3-4, but it is good enough to allow them to edge out a team that always loses their matches 0-4 but only wins them 4-3, as long as foU wins the same number of games. I don't think they went into the match expecting to win vs IM, or even to really have it be as close as it was. It was a very good set of matches for them.
It's all about making playoffs for the weaker teams, while for the stronger teams it's all about ensuring that they win it all - and to do that you need a deep lineup.
Nestea is kind of a special case anyways - he very rarely plays in team leagues, and it would be kind of waste to have him come out vs sC. sC has exceptional tvz, taking DRG to a 5th game and losing an ace match would do nothing but shake his confidence going into the GSL. It was better to send out a T to try and snipe sC in a weaker matchup. I don't think we'll see Nestea play at all until the playoffs, outside of final ace matches vs the strongest teams (and even then he may decline).
