MLG Columbus Day 3 - Page 18

We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum. Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service. Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

I am dissapointed about DeMu though, huge fan and I hoped he would do better. Axslav got pretty far too. I cannot remember whether or not he lost to Cruncher. The open brackets page is broken atm.

Everything else is near perfect. I dunno, I think it's a little harder to get really excited when a match is to decide. . .who, uh. . .gets a better seeding from pool play, potentially, depending on, like, how the rest of the pool play results work out. Oh, and to potentially maybe get a lead in any extended series. Hype!! Still, I guess you have to love the fact that you get pros playing pros the entire time rather than Naniwa stomping Uniden for the first day. But yeah, points should constantly be degrading in value. Say, points from one event ago are worth X, then points from two events ago should be worth around 1/2X, three events should be 1/3X, and so on. You could tweak the numbers but I think that would be the best way to go about it.

You get to be the champion by showing that you're better than everyone else (people from other groups), not by beating the same player twice (and with the help of the extended series at that).

for any of you who didn't know, i had a severe allergic reaction to my SHIRT on friday. Apparently, the starch used to make it look crisp and professional caused my body to break out in hives. So, I spent all of friday night awake and scratchy scratchin. Your voice always heals when you sleep so.... no break for voice = goodbye sexy baritone. i'm doing reasonably ok this morning. I just gotta not shout at wheat during the intro show :D

He can't get anywhere near the final without beating MC, where he will start 2-0 down. I'd be very surprised to see Thorzain make the latter stages.

They could perhaps seed the highest rated 16 players so they wouldn't have to face each other until the late stages of the tournament, say Ro16. Would make it a lot easier to understand. Its very easy to understand, just look at one of the charts floating around. I imagine they have it like this is so there is always cast-able matches going on. Having the pool makes sure they don't every have to cast pros stomping an open bracket. It means you can start it all off with Idra vs MC and not Idra vs noobslayer683.

I didn't notice this until you pointed it out. LMAO YES, there is a possibility that we can see INCONTROL versus MACHINE once again.
