Lawl you flamin me for removing those polls? Really? Did you even see them? People were obviously trolling/untruthful/not thinking. Political agenda? Bias? Seriously? I literally said in my post the whole thing is bias (this is a SC2 community website...). I would be the first to admit none of the polls mean shit one way or the other.
By d(O.o)a's standards almost every game in existence takes zero skill. What a great way to compare relative difficulty *herpity derp*.
Yes leveling to 99 takes a minimum of a certain amount of time. What's your point?
There is a degree of skill in being able to make each of those runs faster. My 4 year old nephew could level to 99 too ya know. It would take him a few years.
And the poll where I ask if you like d2jsp and the only answer for saying yes also included saying because you're already rich, it is simply because I cannot think of any other reason why you would actually want d2jsp in d3. I'm interested in hearing any other good reason. Do you have one?
Troll is gonna troll I guess. Here it comes... wait for it:

for d2jsp, i dont know much about it except that you can earn points from playing other games to be used to buy items for any of those games.
why should you be allowed to get items in D2 if youre not playing D2? I dont get how its beneficial to the D2 economy by allowing people to get stronger in D2 even without playing the game

You guys start talking about oldschoolers?
I was one of the players of GerBarb .

99 didn't take anywhere near the effort it does post-patch 1.10 (latest patch with significant pvm changes). The problem with JSP (other than it being completely run by botters) is that they ruin resets and people who do not put in the effort can get better items than you.
Finding high-runes is no longer an impossible feat as of patch 1.13 which came out just over a year ago.

JSP is the shit. All the haters are just bads.
Then again, maybe it's because I'm riiiiiich biiioootch

Then again, maybe it's because I'm riiiiiich biiioootch I'm rich on d2jsp (all of my assets combined is well over 10,000fg). Precisely zero botting/hacking/importing/duping/buying fg with $.
And I would not even play d3 if d2jsp became commonplace on d3.

Sorry, but I wouldn't consider 10k to be remotely close to rich if this is true.

I'm the troll, right? Look at your statement. Saying leveling in diablo takes skill is like saying leveling in World of Warcraft takes skill, or leveling in Runescape. They are not games that are fun because you reach some high level of skill you thought you would never reach, they're games that are fun because you can get some badass drop or get some intense gear and smash faces.
We're on a Starcraft forum, one I've been a part of for years and been lurking for so much longer. I wasn't going to start up an argument but after that statement you have shown that you're either a troll or just so stupid you can't fathom somebody disagreeing with your opinion of what skill is. To have skill is not to have a large amount of time. But all you need to be 'good' in your eyes at diablo is a lot of time.
(Oh and also, this is not a SC2 community, it's a Starcraft community.)

Now you're just lying. You would most definitely play diablo 3 regardless of jsp's involvement.

Just out of curiosity: At the start of the 2nd last ladder, maybe 4 days into the season, with the first LO I found, it built a 400/40 grief.
How much fg would that have been at that point in time, how much would it be now?
Was playing Europe, HC - is there a big HC market as well?

Can everyone stop arguing over dumb shit please? Its tiresome to read through. Leave your epeens at the door.

There are like 1000 people who "were one of the players of GerBarb."
I was like lvl 10 when GerBarb hit 99!

This is a D2 thread, the only content you're going to get in it is E-peen measuring. That being said, My E-peen is huge.

The question is, how many would have their ICQ number on this page, listed under 'Spieler' - 'Player'?

I see about 13. Feel free to add me (Yussuf), I can switch on ICQ especially for you

edit; nvm
just installed diablo2 with lod, what mod to install now? : P

I'm the troll, right? Look at your statement. Saying leveling in diablo takes skill is like saying leveling in World of Warcraft takes skill, or leveling in Runescape. That is true...
However what I'm saying is that it doesn't take much skill at all to level in Diablo. The more skill you have however, the faster it is. How is this a hard concept to grasp?
They are not games that are fun because you reach some high level of skill you thought you would never reach, they're games that are fun because you can get some badass drop or get some intense gear and smash faces. That's right, you know precisely and wholly what encompasses fun for every single person who plays diablo 2.

To have skill is not to have a large amount of time. But all you need to be 'good' in your eyes at diablo is a lot of time. They are two separate factors that happen to be synergistic... I have never implied otherwise.
(Oh and also, this is not a SC2 community, it's a Starcraft community.) Right, that's obviously what I meant.
Now you're just lying. You would most definitely play diablo 3 regardless of jsp's involvement. That's right! You know exactly what is going through my mind! You can tell the future and you know what I will do then too!

This +1
Items and drop rates play a big part in Diablo Universe.Blizzard really knows to play with humans mind xD
thus, D2jsp = will always ruined Diablo economy/market no matter what

There's really no point talking to you, I give up trying to instill reason to you.
Yeah you must be right bud, Diablo 2 is an incredibly challenging game that takes incredible amounts of effort (not time) to reach the upper levels of, what was I thinking when I said it was easy just because I can beat hardcore as any class on single player with no effort at all and my brother was able to pick up the game when he was 7 and beat the entire game (soft core mind you) as a paladin. CLEARLY the game takes huge amounts of skill and dedication, not just time. /sarcasm
I am legitimately done posting on Diablo threads on TL, your stupidity has wounded me, to say you won't play diablo 3 just because d2jsp has a presence is laughable. The game will still be the game.

Your argument regarding skill is extremely stupid, dooa. Just though you should hear it from someone who doesn't give a rat's ass about your stupid online argument with that other guy.
Saying that time =/= skill in any regard is simply plain stupid. The most talented insane savant cannot do what they do without application. It doesn't matter if you're a musical savant if you've never touched a piano. Even if after 2 tries on a piano you can play The Tempest or compose Beethoven-esque pieces, you've still had to put in experience on the piano if only to see which keys make what tones for your savant-music-brain to put the pieces together.
edit: That's awesome Rimstalker. I remember reading about GerBarb and being jealous, I think I was around 70 on the HC ladder at that point which was somewhere in the top 200, but I might be remembering wrong on my timeline since most of that was ages ago.

Except you can read a guide and be just as good as the "best" player in Diablo 2 unless you can't move a mouse. There might be some subtle difference in that one player is better at moving the mouse around, but that's hardly game breaking separation. There's no skill in Diablo 2, just knowledge about how to build your character. If you think knowledge=skill then we can just agree to disagree on the matter.
