Regarding the Zodiac list(weird name):
I think the people on the list are more prone to any night actions, by town and mafia alike. Checks inside the list have a higher chance to be framed or otherwise messed with. So logically these people would be targeted by mafia while there probably is one or more scum inside the list too.
But I do not have any experience with zodiac lists yet, so take my opinion with a spoon of salt.
Playing the first time with most people I do not have any authority on this, but the people I heard about being around longer are: + Show Spoiler +Kenpachi Varpulis tnkted Node bumatlarge Amber[LighT] BloodyC0bbler People I have also heard about are: + Show Spoiler +Mr. Wiggles GMarshal sandroba kitaman27 Barundar Meapak_Ziphh
I checked just now and I am not that far away from the actual 6 person list that was posted by Sandroba.
I am still a bit confused what we are supposed to do with lists. Medic protection of course, but dt checks inside or outside the list?
And you veteran people: Would anyone you know post an anti town role before knowing his own alignment? I fear it´s unlikely, yet possible that we have misinformation role(s).
What I mean is, if there is few to no misinformation roles, it´s safe to check inside the Zodiac list. But if there are, it suddenly becomes a questionable decision.

As for the LAL plan: no. You lynch people when there is a good reason to do so, not simply because you lied. There could be many reasons that town would be lying, and blindly lynching them for it is not a good idea.
The list is unneccesary. People should be capable of deciding for themself who is worth protecting or inspecting, you don't need someone holding your hand telling you what to do.
Oh, and props for whoever thought up the dog role, that's just hilarious.

I think we should focus on putting up BC's list and giving your opinion about policy lynches and LAL. Make your posts concise because this thread is quickly turning into a spam fest.

Actually, reading through what Ace said, he actually said the list should be avoided by DTs. The entire point of it, is that it creates pressure on the people on the list to act pro-town, and also, as people on the list die, the pressure is increased, letting glaring scum slips show.

I'm fine with bum and BC. Not really sure who else to add though. nobody else has a "strong thread presence" or seems particularly pro-town.

Ok, this might be a better question,
@Amber: do you want me to discover what all of your actions mean, or would you rather me focus on other parts of the game not related to you?
wiggle if you want me to focus on you.

Just a question for the more experienced people on this forum, is amber good?

I was expecting this to start now. Sorry I'm late. Time to go read 9 pages of holy shit. 1 of you has a very twisted sense of humor. Well I'm sure it's more than 1. I'm gonna go get caught up.

Yes, he can be quite good.

Amber, would your role be comparable to a medic type role?
|
hey vets, when is a good time to start making lists of people that haven't posted at all? near the end of the first day or nowish? i suppose that would be a good place to start, as in my experience it's always wisest to lynch inactives first since they're likely bored with a bad role (or in non full-role games, bored townies) or mafia trying to lie low
|
@ Deskscaress It's really early to be making lists like this. Wait 24 hours, then see who's lurking.

Do we even want to know exactly what amber's role is? If we think he is lying about being a dog it would be good for us since it will be hard for him to fake it, but if he actually has a really strong night role and we announce it the mafia are just going to kill him. For this same reason I would suggest any dts we have should check someone else. And people should probably stop trying to figure out exactly what amber can do for now.
The mafia will either kill amber out of fear of what his blue role is or we will at least get some use out of it if we wait a couple days.

My take on Amber is that there are obvious restrictrions and most likely not so obvious restrictions.
Even though we had some telling questions Amber did not react to them. Knowing if our super duper dog has night powers or bonus knowledge for being unable to communicate would be my first priority if I was the dog.
Since he didn´t answer those, I guess he is either not allowed to answer those questions or only allowed to communicate with certain people. Also since he answered to "do you want me to focus on you" with a yes, there is either something Amber has to tell us or Amber is forced to crave for attention.
I sure hope Amber won´t die from being ignored, that´d be cruel.

haha, man, this thread is gettin' ridiculous quite fast.
Amber bro, can I get a pawpound?
#pawpound: Amber[LighT]
I think ya better start looking around for the real scum, those guys ain't gonna reveal themselves, if we got some DT's then checking Amber is a pretty damn great idea, because he seems restricted to communication...
I see you bros doin' some lists and stuff, well I aint old around the blocks here, new kid in town, but I can tell ya that that most of the SNMMII crew is half decent, but keep discussion going, just don't go all role-mad on a bro, cause that aint gettin' us nowhere.

@Amber
*grrrr...*--->"no" *wiggles his tail*---> "yes"
Is the above correct?
*sniff sniff...* *woof* *barks loudly* *growls*
does one of these mean you suspect scum?
*whines sadly* *lies down*
not sure about these... now for the most important question, am I going about this in the right way?

I agree with Palmar, we are done discussing roles. We have ten pages of stuff to work with at this point, so let me ask some questions.
Who does everyone think is most likely to be town. from their posts alone? Who hasn't posted yet who you would have expected to post?
|
So Palmar is some kind of bro with a restriction to talk like that, and Amber is a guard dog. That's certainly interesting.

I don't think amber can #fistpound, palmer... he can't write anything but dogtalk remember?
For now, lets all stop #fistpounding. We don't know what palmer's role is, and if it has something to do with the poundage he's been getting, lets keep it as low as we can get it.
Now, since we have a bunch of noobies in the game, I'll say something I always say to noobies: Be suspicious of people that appeal to their reputation. By this I mean that if you got bumatlarge telling you to drop your line of inquiry because he's the fucking batman, you should be more suspicious, not less.
Not that I expect that to happen this game, but its always good to mention.

Question 1: BC, or bum, from their posts so far. They've been trying to get the focus from role discussion to scum hunting.
Question 2: MZ. He can be a good player, and I would've expected him to get into the game when it started. :p
