Gumiho was a joke a few seasons ago and he smashed through Fruitdealer and Tester who are supposed to be our "star players". Not even I saw fucking fOu take down TSL. Hard to believe they are the only pro SC2 team to receive a salary when all they do is underperform season after season. Well, to be fair TSL just isn't that good. Fruitdealer and tester haven't been performing very well lately. I would say their best play right now is aLive. I also don't understand why you are calling GuMiho a joke. He qualified for GSL3 as random; not exactly an easy feat. It takes some serious talent to go through the qualifiers having to play 3 races and 9 different matchups. Obviously he is a super talented gamer, and since he chose a race he can get even better. sC and Leenock are also quite solid, along with a bunch of players we haven't seen much of yet. They're definitely not as bad as people make them out to be.

Tester is the one they shouldn't have sent out. Why they didn't send out Killer or Clide (their best 2 players on last 2~ months of performance) is beyond me.

Slayers vs Zenex + Show Spoiler + Interview with Slayers player Taeja, who accomplished an all-kill: "The first match vs P was the hardest" Q: How do you feel after accomplishing an all-kill? A: I'm extremely happy, I want to tell my family about this as soon as possible. Q: How many opponents did you think you could take out originally? A: Once I could defeat zerO (T/N: PuzZle), I knew I could achieve an all-kill. Q: Why were you able to be so confident of your all-kill prediction? A: Through perserverance and effort, as well as from ladder rankings. Q: Did you chat with any members of Zenex prior to the match? A: I told them that both teams should try hard. Q: Which match did you think was the hardest? A: The first match. This is because during practice, my results for TvP were not great. Q: Your aggressive tactics are very strong. A: When I analysed zerO's previous matches, I noticed that he likes to use void ray plus 3 warp gate rushes. My focus was on preparing for the first match. In the second match, I scanned and discovered many zerglings, so I built additional bunkers. Q: When will you break out in the individual GSL tournaments? A: In previous GSTL's, the outstanding performers were able to enter Code A the next season. I will work very hard to achieve good results. Q: What were the benefits from switching teams (T/N: I believe TaeJa switched from Zenex to Slayers recently)? A: The atmosphere in the Slayers team is very good. Such an atmosphere makes people train even harder. Q: Do you want to continue being sent out by Slayers in the upcoming rounds of GSTL? A: I would be very happy if I am sent out, but I also want to give other team members the opportunity to represent Slayers too. Q: Any additional words? A: I want to thank my teammates in Slayers who helped me practice. My older brother is in his third year of senior high, he should have been able to watch the matches today, I hope that he concentrates on studying. Many thanks to my aunt who always drops me off at my matches, and many thanks to my parents too. I love you guys! fOu vs TSL + Show Spoiler + Interview with fOu team members GuMiho and sC: "Our team will definitely win this GSTL" Q: How does it feel to achieve a 3-kill? GuMiho: The feeling hasn't really sunk in yet, but through today's experience, I won't be nervous at live broadcast matches anymore. Q: How many matches did you think you could win? GuMiho: If LuckyfOu lost the first match, I would definitely win the second match. Because of lack of preparation, I wasn't so confident about the later matches. However, after winning my first match, I wasn't nervous anymore. I used the strategies prepared during practice, and with some luck, I was able to win today. Q: You had a chance to achieve an all-kill. GuMiho: Unfortunately my current level of decision making is still not sufficient. But I will perform even better in the semi-finals of this GSTL. Q: Did you think you would be sent out for the Ace match? sC: I thought LuckyfOu would win his match, so I was feeling relaxed. I didn't expect that I would need to be sent out. Q: You ended up using hellions in your match. sC: It was a strategy I decided to use in the heat of the moment. My opponent and I ended up using different strategies. The timing turned out very fortunately for me, so luckily I got the win. Q: What if you were not the last person to be sent out? sC: I didn't think we would lose so many matches that it would come down to me, but I saw that Alive was playing very well, which made me nervous and I started to mentally prepare myself. Q: Did you feel a lot of pressure on you? sC: In the team I am considered the Ace player, but I have not performed like an Ace player in GSTL. There was a lot of pressure on me, so I felt very lucky to win today. Q: Has your team considered sending you out first? sC: If the first player sent out wins a lot, the morale in the team will be very high, but there will be the feeling that I am taking part in an individual tournament rather than a team tournament. GuMiho: I've lost immediately after being sent out first before, so I already feel very content to have the chance to be sent out by the team. Once I have the opportunity to take part in the match, I will use all my strength to prepare. Q: Did the fact that you used to play random help you in today's matches? GuMiho: Not directly, but I have always enjoyed studying strategies from the time I played as random. Today I utilised strategies that are upgraded versions of tactics I used to employ. Q: You built a lot of hellions. GuMiho: This was the main unit I used for this match. It is a tactic I employ quite frequently. Q: Your next opponent is Slayers. GuMiho: I feel that we can win, and I hope that our zerg players can show their strength. With sC in our team, I feel very confident. sC: The first match will be very important. If we win the first match we will be comfortable winners. If we lose the first match, it will become a difficult series like today. Q: Any additional words? GuMiho: The team spirit was very good in the end, and we want to win this GSTL. Many thanks to my practice partners, and special thanks to ?? (T/N: sorry I have no idea who 民宇哥 is). sC: In the past two GSTLs, we exited at the quarter-final stage without making much noise. We will definitely win this time, so please watch out for us. Choya was originally meant to take part in the Ace match, but very happy that he gave that opportunity to me.

Zenex has been all killed out of every single GSTL now right? They've done poorly, but excluding GSTL, they are actually the #1 team (as of a couple months back at least) in team leagues (yeah there are other leagues in Korea besides GSL...) which I thought was really strange, considering ZeNEX players are decently solid or simply decent but none of them is truly great.

There are so many games out there (watched finals live but otherwise still watching VODs from season 3, trying to watch every 90%+ game) and none of these games are rated. I'm afraid I won't watch any of them because there is no ranking None of them were that spectacular tbh. Taeja getting an all kill wasn't cool at all (besides the ceremony) because ZeNEX players were playing poorly. TSL vs. fOu was alright, but the games were pretty boring overall. Check out the GuMiho games if you like mech play but most of the games were pretty straight forward.
