But it all ain`t sunshine. Our scene is still small, very small and I feel there isn`t enough room for politics, cuz fightin eachother just puts brakes on the growth of our community, industry or whatever you may call it. It is time to use all the plattforms and communication channels we have access to and try to make us visible for the masses. How to do so?
Twitter and Facebook!
Imagine everyone in this scene tweets some stuff at the same time on the same day. No matter if you love sc:bw or SC2, just hashtag it with #starcraft. To round things up – don`t spam bullshit, but make it interesting and look up something cool. A VoD, an interview, a livestream of your favorite player, a photo, a cool article, a tournament or something else. If we succeed „starcraft“ should show up as a worldwide trend and hopefully other people will click on tweets to see what this is all about. Maybe they like what they see and spread the word among their friends. With very little effort from every single person we could make it happen, but it`s all up to YOU.
When to strike?
MLG Columbus starts on June, 3rd and this could give every potential new starcraftfan the opportunity to check out live what this is all about. Start tweeting as soon as the stream goes live and it would be best if you keep doing so till the finals are over.
What else?
If you`re a progamer activate your fanbase. If your an editor for any starcraft-/esportswebsite make a news about it. If you`re running a league, use your stream and website to tell your followers. If you`re an independent streamer tell your independent viewers. If you`re a fan - just do it!
