Greetings and welcome to International Tournament Roundup! Sick of wading through countless threads, posts, and articles looking for recent SC2 tournament results? The TeamLiquid International Tournament Roundup is the one-stop shop for all of your tournament result needs, and it's coming to you twice each and every month.
Don't be fooled, the GSL is great, but there's a massive amount of talent outside of Korea. Foreign juggernauts are battling it out in epic games, and in epic tournaments, on a daily basis. After all, our boys have more than proven that they can compete.
Who's the current top dog outside of Korea?
Please note that if an event is not listed, it is likely because it either didn't make the prizemoney cutoff, or results were simply not properly recorded in public view by tournament administration. Don't blame me, blame the event admins. I can't do their job for them. Thanks!

Total Prizemoney: ~$51,228 USD (+ Prizes!)
Top Dog
There's a ton of powerhouses outside of Korea, but who's this edition's top dog? Let's take a look at which players have posted the most impressive results over the past 2 weeks.
Note: This isn't a simple prize-money or medals ranking. It is based upon a combination of overall player performance, quality of competition, significance of events won, money won, activity, and my most sincere attempt at unbiased subjectivity. It only considers performances in events which concluded within this period.
+ Show Spoiler [Honorable Mentions] +
HasuObs !!
Becoming quite a regular in these, this amazing player performed far beyond what many expected in the PokerStrategy TSL3. He took down favorites HuK and MorroW, and slayed the Emperor himself, BoxeR. HasuObs also took home a Sennheiser Cup, as icing on the cake.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$1,640 USD
SaSe !!
Thanks to his amazing performance in the 'Road to Korea' tournament, he's going to Korea to compete in GSL. SaSe went 10-1 in games (5-0 in series) in his group including powerhouses ThorZaIN and LaLuSh. He eventually went on to defeat both Bischu and finalist NaNiwa to steal the tournament. SaSe put a halt to NaNiwa's 35 BoX series winning streak in defeating him. Despite the disappointment of many due to his win over the favorite NaNiwa, SaSe's stellar performance is without a doubt worthy of his prize. I look forward to cheering this guy on in Korea, and you should too!
Total Prizewinnings: ~$2,350 USD
Nerchio !!
Up until now, Nerchio's primary strong performances in lesser cups have been featured here, but this time around he's done something better. If you have any doubts about this guy's skill, do yourself a favor and take a look at his recent Pokerstrategy Call4Kings performance. Strelok 2-0, MorroW 2-0, TT1 3-0, in addition to crushing several other opponents. He didn't drop a single game. In addition to this, he just barely missed out on both a Zotac and Competo Cup win. It wouldn't be the honorable mention category without Nerchio, but he certainly has the potential of taking the number one spot in the future.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$1,135 USD
Third
+ Show Spoiler [Third] +
NaNiwa !!
This dominant Protoss beast barely evaded victory in two epic tournaments this past two weeks. He was just one game away from stealing the Pokerstrategy TSL3 Final, and he similarly evaded victory in the 'Road to Korea' tournament. This seemingly unstoppable force, off of a record streak of 35 consecutive BoX series wins, marched to the final on the shattered pile of dreams that Ret, GoOdy, CrunCher, and HasuObs left behind. Despite his inability to grasp the title, there's no doubt that NaNiwa's recent performance solidifies him as one of the best Protosses in the entire world.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$7,000 USD
Runner-Up
+ Show Spoiler [Runner-Up] +
IdrA !!
As it seems long overdue, IdrA finally makes his way into this ranking with his commanding victory in the first season of the IGN Proleague. Never actually dropping into the loser's bracket, the Gracken tore through an impressive lineup of Fenix, Drewbie, KiWiKaKi, and SeleCT to make the final. He met the loser's bracket revival of KiWiKaKi in the final, once again smashing the strong Canadian Protoss. In addition to this performance, he beat up fellow Zerg Sheth in a showmatch event. I have no doubts that IdrA will return with more massive tournament wins in the near future.
Total Prizewinnings: ~$2,700 USD
Top Dog
+ Show Spoiler [The Top Dog] +
ThorZaIN !!
When I think of this player, all I can manage to conjure in my mind is "Oh my $!ing god." If you haven't watched the Pokerstrategy TSL3 Final, go. Now. The quiet mannered ThorZaIN seemingly feeds off of the stress and pressure of important matches, bringing out impeccable performances worthy of Starcraft legend. We will be talking about ThorZaIN's TSL3 performance for years to come. When we introduce someone to Starcraft 2, we will show them the TSL3 Final VODs with pride.
He was the underdog against the GSL Champion FruitDealer.
He was the underdog against foreigner legend and defending TSL Champion Tyler.
He was the underdog against 2x GSL Champion and arguably best Protoss in the world MC.
He was the underdog against TvT beast and top European Terran Kas.
He was the underdog against MLG Champion and best performing foreign Protoss NaNiwa.
He is ThorZaIN, he gives players nightmares, he may have the best TvP in the world, he is the TSL3 Champion, he is no longer the underdog, he is the Top Dog!
Total Prizewinnings: ~$15,000 USD
Medal Podium
Note: Only players with multiple non-showmatch podium appearances are included.
