He's a fantastic pro-gamer, but if I recall, he was leaving to figure out what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. Perhaps it was just salary, as was mentioned during his departure as well, and Hite Entus decided to compensate him more heavily. I hope he provides an explanatory message. Either way, excited to see him play again. Would love for a mini-rivalry to develop between him and Hydra as the team's top Zerg. When he quit, it looked like BW wouldn't last another month. Everything was crumbling; players were switching to SC2, teams were disbanding, coaches were resigning, sponsors were fleeing, and it looked like Blizzard/Gretech were doing everything they could to push the whole thing over the edge. I bet Effort probably figured BW's days were numbered and decided to get a head start on moving on, and I don't blame him. At least outwardly, it sounds like BW has stabilized quite well (with a little more optimism!). He probably came back because of a combination of that and missing the progaming life (as dreary as it sometimes sounds, you do have fans, an audience, very good salary for A to S class players, and you get to live with your friends). Was Effort ever seriously going to be a scholar? He may have just proceeded with the "preparing for uni" thing because it was the thing to do at that point in your life for most people. Not terribly familiar with the ultra-competitive academic environment of Korea, but that's often how it is in most places in the world. I don't see it as a terrible loss to postpone it a bit longer.

But if he get his old skill level back, Hite will be pretty unstoppable. Hopefully they'll sell some of their players : their line up seems a bit crowded right now.
