I am neither the smartest nor most informed guy in the world and I might be missing a lot, so take these doubts as questions meant genuinely:
If this were the case it seems hardly plausible that there hasn't been a leak already considering the staggering amount in people that would have to be involved before any sort of official announcement could even be considered? (Lawyers negotiating rights with Blizzard, production teams, a studio ect. ect. ect. EDIT: and the securing of FINANCES which is probably the biggest one.)
Lets say that previous question doesn't really mean anything and I am way off base. Have the guys at SoTG been trolling MLG with the few interviews they have had with those guys recently? I mean a major league similar to the GSL would sort of monopolize any serious contenders time, wouldn't it? (Though I suppose guys who compete in even the GSL already DO compete in other tournaments world-wide, so maybe that isnt the greatest doubt.)
I feel like I had more quasi-reasonable doubts but I cant really remember them any more... probably because I want this to be true. So yeah. :D

I doubt it's any kind of league, or circuit, on the same level as GSL or MLG. I don't see how they could compete for sponsors with MLG, on MLG's home turf.
Plus wouldn't having Sundance on SOTG a few days before announcing a competing league (yes, competing - no way around it) be quite....strange? Yeah, I think sooo.
That's just my feeling, though. Could be wrong.

If Day[9] isn't included it would be an incredibly bad decision by the NASL, as he already provides a huge fan base and would presumably raise viewer numbers for the sponsors. But I guess IncontroL would not want anyone like that to come in and over shadow his own importance in this. Selfish but understandable.
If this is indeed a big league I presume the organizers including IncontroL would want as much attention to this as possible.

This is all an elaborate April Fool's joke. Quote me on this later.
|
A big teamleague would be epic. Good for everyone and good for esports (Team sponsorships!).
|
I wonder how the new league is going to work. They've seen how hard a time MLG have had, especially after interviewing Sundance last week, with regards to getting enough money to hold the event. I don't know if the MLG sponsors will have the marketing budget for two SC2 events. Or maybe the league will be all online with no actual physical event?

Maybe they see day9 as a threat? that would be awful because we need day9 casting this. He has been preaching all along that this is life goal and it seems like his life goal is coming to fruition without him It's not like he is without casting gigs and he can't do them all anyway. right but if this is the biggest league in NA i want the best caster casting it IMO. no offense to people like gretorp and incontrol but they are really unproven.

day9 could be a guest commentator, like for the monthly finals and so on so long as they dont get something like husky, i think it would be ok
|
If this is true then Incontroll actually hyped something worthwhile.
Wouldn't that be awesome? Being hyped by someone and not be let down?
|
Over at gosu TROLLING eh!?
ahaha either way that explain's IdrA's move.

gotta get day 9 casting this!!

Have you seen the duo commentary by day9 and another guy at the Dreamhack? Those 2 did a pretty good job.

Lol at the guy saying "200k $ for the grand final winner"! In my opinion the prize pool should not be that big. Don't be greedy and build solid, enough money for the players, and a prize money fairly distributed amongst the participant so that everybody can live with it, but not like GSL with 1 star at 100k $ and the other running around with grain of salt.
Promote esport does not mean big money for the winner, in my opinion it should more be enough money in the whole scene for it to live well.

I'm so torn between being incredibly annoyed or very excited about this whole thing, ugh ><
Need better acronyms though.

dude is a genius.... nice deduction! and GOD THAT WOULD ROCK

Would be really cool if it's true, and I think it is.

I think people are going over board with the "TV" part.
It's just the trend that Day9 started.
IncontrolTV Day9TV ArtosisTV
There is no indication that this will be on national TV.
|
It will definitely help expand the fan base in North America. We'll probably get a few soccer fans by accident too!
