I remember about a year and a half ago my cousin showing me some songs from this curious sounding band. Today while listening to radio3 at my coop I ran into them again after having totally forgetten about them. Do yourself a favor and enjoy their great assortment of tunes like I have all day.
The entire site is really dope for Canadian indie, just click view available streams. Also, why aren't they playing in Toronto or Hamilton? Usually those are reasonable stops for any touring bad (especially Toronto but I have a Hamilton bias). I guess if the schedule is tight, and if Windsor is close enough to their route they just book a show for the lucky city. Darn. Let me know if you like them. I would suggest 'Stamp', and 'Don't haunt this place'
Was about to exit after hearing the first song. Then I decided to give it a second chance and I absolutely love the song, Don't Haunt This Place.
EDIT: Any other bands you could recommend? I'm a big fan of indie music. Here's a list of my three top bands to give you an idea of the type of music I like.
1. The Mountain Goats 2. The Weakerthans 3. Death Cab for Cutie
My favorite Canadian band is the tragically hip, because of their performance, legacy, and just plain enjoyability. As for younger bands though not necessarily Canadian I'd check out The Frames, tapes and tapes, beat connection, some wolf parade. There is a lot more than these that I love but try these out I'm sure you'll find some favorites amongst them. I'd suggest downloading the albums and playing them through, youtube is more effort, shittier quality, and doesn't promote listening through an album for the entire quality of a band, album or sound.
