So he basically filled his entire tech tree before making units. In essences, it was ultra-fast tech > ultra-fast expansion. And I believe Stork hit the perfect timing window right before Jaedong's macro was up. Even if that were the case, the point still is that JD knew the gate count + saw all those zealots defending Stork's 3rd (before he moved out) and still chose to drone up instead of making units. Greed pure and simple.

Why the heck is JD still losing to Stork/Bisu? If this happens, I worry about his chances in MSL, assuming he gets past Midas tomorrow.... What happened to your ZvP, Jaedong? =(

Remember the Jaedong that went 1 hatch lurker against one of the dragons, got scouted and still won anyway? And he did this when he was 0-1 in a Bo3. Jaedong's ZvP is best when he's aggressive, especially against Bisu and Stork. Hopefully, he's got something better prepared for the MSL.

Yeah, it seems like the passive super-greedy style only works when the toss doesn't really know what he's doing (like Calm vs. Jangbi from the other day). But I think Bisu and Stork are good enough to penetrate the defense, and I think JD realizes that now. I'm positive that if JD meets Stork in the MSL he won't try this shit again.

Then in the 3rd game he got rolled by 20 archons and 10 reavers in the epic pvz where he simply turtled and tried to get to hive tech.

Those games were so beautiful to watch. It may be just me, but I don't feel the same spark of genius and ability to adapt now that I felt in JD's games during his ZvP streak. I'm not sure why he's doing these passive greedy builds. Am I the only one who thinks he needs to go rediscover his ZvP, like he did with his ZvT?

Jaedong's only losses to Protoss this season come from Bisu and Stork, and I think one stray game off of Kal last OSL (which was from a Bo5 where he went 3-1). I wouldn't go as far to say he needs to 'rediscover' his ZvP.

Am I the only one who thinks he needs to go rediscover his ZvP, like he did with his ZvT? I think part of the problem is that ZvP hasn't been pushed the same way as his ZvT. Apart from that Bo5 against Stork, Jaedong has had little reason to worry about his ZvP. He occasionally might run into Stork/Bisu in proleague but he's been taking a fairly complacent approach to those games, just doing the same stuff he does against any random toss. On the other hand, in the case of his ZvT, he's constantly had to Flash/Light/Sea in Bo5s/Bo3s. I think the fact that he might face Bisu or Stork in a Bo5 combined with the fact that he doesn't have to worry about Flash this season might make him put a lot of effort into addressing the problems with his ZvP.

Okay, "rediscover" is probably too strong a word, but the way he lost vs Stork and Bisu make me think there's something missing in his play when he plays against the top PvZers, i.e. the Protoss who aren't completely scared of him.

Well we can't know if it's just JD's PvZ in general or he hasn't worked out his timings on that map yet. Maybe he needs to rely less on the sim city and try to get those lurkers out a little faster. The way that map is built sort of seduces you to take the fast fourth cause you think you can defend the choke, but we see what happens. Either way JD's PvZ will be put to the test in MSL soon enough and we will see.
