So this is my first blog and also my 4000th post. I've been on TL since 2007 and 4 years later, I've finally gotten to 4k. I doubt anybody really knows me, and that's okay. I don't stream matches, I don't translate interviews, I don't contribute that much at all. Well, I give my opinions and post in the LR threads sometimes. I'm not a good bw or sc2 player, so I can't really help people with strategy. I do what I can, whenever I have the time. I wish I knew Korean so I could help out with translations, but too bad I don't know enough.
I wanted to dedicate this 4000th post to TL for being an awesome community. I first came to this forum to look for bw strategies to help improve my game. While I did read the strategy forum for tips, etc, my game didn't really improve because I just don't play enough and I don't really have time to improve. Also, it's not a high priority on my list.
However, I continued to browse TL and now I visit TL several times a day just because of the community. I don't even read about strategies anymore. I just sorta keep up with the bw and sc2 scenes while reading other people's blogs for random stories. I even get some of my news from the general section.
I've been here long enough to know some of the drama that went on in the past with certain users. Veterans who were banned, like fanatacist and clazziquai... In my head, I can put a certain personality/face to certain users, even though I've never met them before IRL. I don't know anybody on this forum at a personal level, yet I think that somehow all sorts of genuinely nice and intelligent people come to this site and bring all sorts of greatness with them.
Thank you TL. I've learned a lot about everything from this site, not just about starcraft. And thanks to the mods for maintaining and improving the quality of the site from the base level (banning terrible users, closing crappy threads). Keep being awesome, everyone.
edit: oh, I'm also curious about whether anybody else browses TL more for non-sc stuff than sc strats or the progaming scene.

I wish you good luck in your quest for that, I hope you avoid all the bans along the way.
Congratulations to your post, I joined in 2007 myself but I am not even close to you.

I think there are a fair number of people who were attracted here by their interest in bw/sc2 but aren't as active lately in playing/following their respective game(s) but still stay here for the community and discuss other things like general info, sports and games, etc.
