The "how many foreigners will qualify" topic, 99% were like "lol nobody, its much harder now, even idra and loner wont make it ololololol" Owned, already 2. Theres probably going to be at least 4-7. I believe Incontrol and Kiwi were both 1 game away from making it as well.

Q. Protoss hasn’t been doing well in the last 2 seasons. A. They have to nerf marauders. They should also return the old range of 3 to roaches. I also wish they would bring back the old zealots. Protoss is so hard. from CoreZenith, this guy knows what hes talking about

Q. What do you think about many people thinking that Koreans are exceptional at playing a BoX series? A. I agree. There are players in Korea that are 2~3x better than foreigners. This question had some confusion in the translation somewhere - the question I got, was what the skill gap was between koreans/non-koreans, I basically said I think its not that big but that there are 2-3 really good koreans for every really good non-korean.

The first GSL's are preliminary tournaments, meant to seed players for the upcoming GSL tournaments in 2011. All players that get S-class are guaranteed to make the 2011 tournaments where as everyone who is not is S-class must play in (that being said, I was under the impression that the 2011 GSLs have no qualifying tournaments?) Everyone wants Code-S because it guarantees them the chance to play next year.

Edit: Haha I edited my post but you quoted it already. I'm actually not that displeased that InCa didn't make it even though I am a toss player and oGs/Liquid are my favourite team/s, I find his play to be cheesy or far too standard, though he does have some neat tricks. I am hoping to see some play from a toss that really twists standard play in an aggressive or unusual manner, like we have seen from FoxeR for T or FruitDealer/Kyrix for Z.

Here's hoping that a foreigner can obtain S Class! The other one's probably SangHo or HongUn, so maybe 2 :/

Contrary to popular belief, S-class and A-class isn't just preferential qualification but it's own separate tournament. See original announcement post regarding the GSL: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=141496 I know they also said that if one of the Code S players doesn't play, then a Code A player will fill his shoes, but do we know what happens if a Code A player doesn't play (or what happens to the Code A tournament if a Code A player is playing in the Code S tournament)? Are there going to be rankings below Code A, for example, or open qualifiers for the free spots? Or will the Code A tournament just include fewer players? It also seems to me that half the appeal of the GSL is its open nature. It feels like the GSL suddenly becomes this closed off event in 2011, where your performances during the first three months of the tournament largely decide your future SC2 career - at least with regard to the Main GSL League. I definitely like the idea of the ladder and international tournaments though. They allow for newcomers to come to the fore and compete on a world stage, which is necessary for the SC2 scene to sustain itself in the long run.
