Indeed, I felt the same way seeing that as I did when Fruitdealer ran over NexLiveForever in g1 of the last gsl. Never thought I could be inspired like that by a Terran

ITR played so boring. OMG Banshee.

What a T facing foxer's style should do is blue hellions... It takes just about as long to get blue flame hellions out as it does to get tanks with siege tech. Maybe a bit faster, but not that much. Also, hellions arent that great against marines, although many people think they are. The hellion is very fragile, but does tons of damage to light units, and it is also very fast. That is why it counters zerglings and zealots, because it can outrun them, as long as a player micros decently. A stimmed marine ball destroys any hellions that even come close.
Not true. Well placed and microed hellions destroys marines.

Here's hoping that NesTea gets through, so we can have a TvZ finals instead of a TvT.
Wow, everyone in TL hates you now... HOW CAN YOU NOT WANT SLAYERS BOXER IN THE FINALS!@!!!!!

Foxer is amazing, my new hero. As much as I like the real Boxer, I want Foxer to win GSL 2.

I feel kinda bad for saying this, but here I go
when fruitdealer rose to power, everyone knew he just had insane skill and could overpower the Terran imbalances, it gave lots of Zerg hope and so lots of zergs started gaining skill over the Terran imba. foxer now has the same skill level as fruitdealer but has some imba on his side to back him up. that is why he is unstoppable.
also I hate single elimination, fruitdealer probly could make it to top 8 if he were in another bracket, but tournaments are all about luck

Do you realize there was a patch between the GSLs?

Rofl... your ignorance amuses me. Everyone's entitled to their own misguided opinion though, I suppose.
On-topic: Hopefully we see Foxer v Boxer just for the oh SNAP factor. TvT though... Ehh... knowing these two players though there should be non-stop agression :D

lol, I would say the exact opposite right now. Zerg had an edge over terran during this gsl for a bit before the terrans could adapt (and still ongoing), but foxer is one step ahead of everyone.
that being said. I hope lim yo hwan gets into the final and shows foxer up. But I don't know if that will happen.

I don't understand why some people are trash talking FoxeR, sayin' he cheeses, he plays gimmicks and so on.. that kid is extremely talented player and took out some of the most amazing pro gamers out there, so just give him respect. I love his aggressive playing style.. He named himself after the emperor and who knows, maybe he will be one in SC2

They do in small numbers, also who's gonna be out microing Foxer?

he practically uses nothing but MMM rally pressure every game... only reason it's entertaining is because alot of things die wether it's his or the other players but i much prefer watching players like NaDa, SlayerSBoxeR, Jinro and Terran TLO who actually use something else besides barracks pressure.
Foxer to me resembles why nobody respects Terran players in sc2. all these cool innovative strategies and tactics that are or were available to terrans are second rate to basic MMM.

I know quoting a firstpage post is never a good idea, but..
Gimmicky? FoxeR makes Marines and makes them shoot. Then he wins.
That's got to be the least gimmicky style of play to ever exist.

My internet went out for 5 minutes at the end of game 3 and when I got back it was game 5 o_O

Hi all,
Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone toes posting this but I have a new blog in which i'm planning to cover some of the more interesting sc2 games i find. Currently doesn't have much content but i really enjoyed the GSL 2 semi finals day 1 between FoxeR and HopeTorture so I've written some content for it. My blog is here
I'm planning on putting more time into it and maybe move into doing some casts of future non-gsl games (no point casting games Tastosis have done since they do such a great job). Anyway again apologies if I shouldn't be posting this here, feel free to remove if necessary but just trying to get it out there :/
I know i don't have many posts but I read these forums a lot, currently a 1100 diamond noob myself but trying to improve. I'm a zerg player but i really enjoy FoxeR's play-style and think Terran players could learn a lot from watching him.

So your saying marines are imba? We should nerf them too huh it sounds like a good plan they nerfed almost every other terran unit already why not the marine! Lets make it so you have to make a factory before stim, that will stop 4 rax pressure.
Seriously sick of people screwing the terran race over just because its imo the funnest race to play but now got duller. I miss the reapers which could be a good counter to the marine pushes if used correctly..

All of your posts are trying to say the same fallacy:
1) When Zerg wins it is because they are more skilled. 2) When Terran wins it's because of balance.
Maybe pre-patch you could have some kind of argument, but post patch, with Zerg dominating everywhere, you simply have no basis to say anything like that. Foxer played better than Fruitdealer. Sorry, but believe it or not being aggressive with Marines while fast expanding is not any less skillful than massing drones.

Sorry but mass marine against banelings is actually innovative and takes skill to use. If you want we can play a ZvT right now and you can go nothing but Marines and Medivacs and see how you do. Arbitrarily using different units like TLO massing Thors in TvT doesn't make him 'innovative' or 'skilled.'
And Marine/Medivac is actually quite different from mindless MM ball. Just because you can't tell doesn't mean more skilled players can't.

Jesus christ what you said is just pure ignorance. Jinro and TLO? Are you serious? They can't make MMM work the way like FoxeR did if they tried. The player execution makes the strategy. NONE of players you listed can go pure marines against banelings and win, so GTFO with your crying about MMM.
