Just a bit of old memories here but when I was a kid I was this (gundam?) I think it was on Toonami and I always wanted to figure out how that thing ended.
My memory is vague but this is how it went there was some blue dog thing? and something about Unlimited Potential(lol cheesy) and it got a bunch of upgrades or something?

Finished Melancholy of Haruhi Suziyama....
It was alright....the looping parts got so repetitive that I sort of glossed over them....
But it was fun, and it was entertaining while it lasted.

Need more info. What exactly was the "blue dog thing"? You are talking about a Mecha show, right?

Damn, you just reminded me I still have to wait 3 months before the movie's DVD comes out.
I hate you!

Haha, I forgot all about the Haruhi movie. Give in and watch the camrip. That reminds me, the UBW (CG DOLPHINS) and Nanoha movies should come out at around the same time.
I think the majority of people in this thread watched Durarara when it aired. First half > second half.

ok guys i want to watch some anime again, i just remembered death note and how fucking awesome it was. Any similar animes? What i like : detective stuff, drama ( NO LOVE SH** PLZ ), sometimes action like Black lagoon. Violence. And would be cool if anime is finished already, not on-going like naruto or smth like that.
What i saw so far:
death note ( my fav) black lagoon ( nice action and stuff like that, realy liked characters ) code geass ( nice too, but im not realy into mechanic things. )

Rrrh I don't really follow anime anymore, I think the latest series I've watched was from 2004 or around that time. But I will list my favorites
Rahxephon X tv
Ok after this it gets really hard but those two are my favorite and the only series I own on DVD. What are some other good ones... Gungrave, Escaflowne, I'm just gonna write my thoughts here... I'm thinking about something I watched not too long ago that I was impressed with, now what was it.... well I'll just list some others: Berserk, Elfen Lied, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Samurai Champloo, Fruits Basket. All great stuff.
I think the one I was thinking about was Rurouni Kenshin - Reminiscence. That was absolutely amazing. Just 4 x 30 minutes so it's more like a movie but I'd say if there's one anime I would recommend to someone who hasn't watched anime, that would be it.
"Other" movies I like are Ghost in the Shell 2 and End of Evangelion. It's kinda weird though 'cause I didn't really like NGE but EoE is awesome.
Nowadays I don't even have time to watch any anime.

so HOTD is over how much would you rate it? I'm thinking...6.5-7/10 (not a big fan of fanservice) in terms of zombie animes it's probably a top3 but it wasn't that good either
I don't know.

What do you guys think of Giant Killing....It is 24 episodes in and the direction of the story has only just been starting to show. Still the latest episode was awesome, I felt more passion than I did during the World Cup.
Just watched K-On!! ep 24 too, got some free time to watch it finally...great episode made me laugh so hard but I cried a lil bit on the inside. AZU-NYAA~

The only anime I've watched in the past year is Katanagatari because a lot of them have been bad, but Katanagatari's pretty good.
Read the light novels and in the end: + Show Spoiler +Togame dies in the last novel and Shizika goes traveling with Hite-hime

Is there a preview for next season yet?

I'm just curious, but what's the most accessible Anime show for someone with pretty much no experience watching it? I'm a fan of generally intelligent dialogue and writing and have always been curious about what to watch.

I'd recommend Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I'm not so sure about the intelligence of the dialogue, (It's an anime, that's not something you'd typically expect anyway) but the story is pretty good. The thing I like is that they didn't drag the story out and the ending is very satisfying. You can watch it at: http://www.hulu.com/fullmetal-alchemist-brotherhood Only some of the episodes are dubbed in English so far, the rest are in Japanese with English subtitles.
