Other than that, I really enjoy you casting style. Would love to see you cast some higher calibre games! In fact, a dual cast with Day[9] would be highly entertaining. Yes, this, you would make such a good casting duo. It would be bejujular and cynical all at the same time!

You have a very natural knack for fasting,
Was this a deliberate mistake? Because I like it.
I am now a Shoutfaster.

I just randomly realized that SHOUTcraft with TotalBiscuit actually WAS my eSports gateway drug...
After I first got into the SC2 Beta, I found myself searching for games to watch on YT when I was too tired to actually play, but I hated listening to most of the casters I found at first. TotalBiscuit was the first caster that I thoroughly enjoyed listening to and that got me hooked. I watched every SC2 replay video that he had up at the time twice before branching out and finding HD/Husky, Day[9], and eventually the TeamLiquid site to enjoy as well.
Now I have more sources of entertainment than I know what to do with, but SHOUTcraft was definitely my gateway drug and remains in my bookmarks!

Best of luck with the whole gamestation thing, hope i see you on the ladder at some point. Would be nice to have a game commentated whilst im still playing it haha

Aye, esport drug o' Shoutcraft, Will ye ever be back? My HD tv is missing out on ya!

ISP is still fucked, can't do anything until the new one is installed. BT fucked me around on the line changeover, ETA is by the end of this month to be up and running again.
|
That sucks. Great to have ISASC2 back though.
|
That sounds awful! I wish you the best of luck so you can spread the e-sport love further!
|
Hope the ISP problems will get fix, really enjoy watching your casts.

ISP sucks I hate BT with a passion keeping the good ode British commentator out of action.
On a random note what do you think of my new sc2 gaming product idea star biscuits?

I HAVE BEEN KIDNAPPED.
In a horrible turn of events I was bundled into a white van, blindfolded and driven to a secret location, whereby I was instructed to 'cast Starcraft 2 until I passed out from exhaustion'. I think they had guns, can't be certain, could have been bananas.
TOTALBISCUIT'S SUPER I40 TOURNAMENT CAST THING
What is it?!
3 days of 720p streaming from the i40 Starcraft 2 tournament in Newbury, England.
When is it?!?
Friday 27th August to Sunday 29th August 2010.
Here's the tentative schedule in proper British time!
Friday 12:00 onwards - i40 tournament warmups and 'all comers' open casting. Saturday 14:30-18:00 - Group Stage 19:00-20:00 - 1/10 Double Elimination. Sunday 10:00-18:30 - Double Eliminations. 22:30-23:30 - Arena finals.
And again in crazy Korean time
Friday 20:00 onwards - i40 tournament warmups and 'all comers' open casting. Saturday 22:30-02:00 - Group Stage 03:00-04:00 - 1/10 Double Elimination. Sunday 18:00-02:30 - Double Eliminations. 06:30-07:30 - Arena finals.
It's also featured on the Teamliquid calender and will be frontpaged when it's live.
How can I watch it?!?!
Everything will be getting streamed plus VoDs will be made available via my Youtube channel and via Fileplay's VoD website. Links will be provided after the event.
Can I play in it?!?!?
Probably! Depends if you can get down there. There are still some signup spots left with a maximum of 128 player slots. There are some seeds etc as well as guys you've seen in the British and Irish Open. I'll also be holding 'all comers' sessions and warmups on the Friday, so it may very well be that you can get yourself casted if you add me on Bnet. My name is Totalbiscuit and my ID is 395
Are there prizes?!?!?!
Yes, the prize pot is £1000 and there's a ton of Razer swag to be given away as well including all their new SC2 line. Obviously you can only qualify for that if you're at the actual event.
Who is casting?!?!?!?
Me. Also possibly Apollo at times, but mostly me. Also the finals will be in the arena so they'll be even more legit.
I'm going to the i40! Can I meet up with you?!?!?!?!
I guess, if you really want a business card or something. My desk location will be given out at the event, otherwise I can be found at the bar singing badly. You should probably post in this thread if you are going to be there.
I AM SO EXCITED?!?!?!?!?
THAT IS NOT A QUESTION

In a horrible turn of events I was bundled into a white van, blindfolded and driven to a secret location,
This reminds me of Dexter's bachelor party for some reason.
Looking forward to it dude!
Edit: Erg, is it really £90 to play?
|
Well it's £90 for 3 full days of LAN, it's not just a SC2 tournament by any stretch of the imagination.
|
Whats up with all these people starting to commentate Sc2 without knowledge of the game?
Oh that's right - because community can't see anything past storm/nukes/fungal growths :c

This guy is one of the most entertaining casters around. He is hilarious without being annoying like most of the others. He has proven in his shout casts that he is VERY competent at the whole casting thing.
He is a caster, he doesnt do analysis like day9. Two VERY different styles.
Now stop being a sour twat. If u dont like him dont listen, no need to be pretentious.

This whole 'starting to commentate' thing is pretty funny since I was one of the first in beta to do so.
Whatever though, elitists will be elitist

Ah I see, this place isnt too far away so I might nip down for the day to see the starcraft!
Can you elaborate on the 'open casting'?

Well, myself and Apollo will be trying co-casting to see if we mesh. Hopefully we do, because he knows his shit, whereas I know next to nothing and find everything exciting. I'll be inviting attendees to get their games cast, as well as anyone online who wants to, 'shoutcraft' style. The way that I used to do shows is invite all comers, over a few games figure out who was good and who wasn't, then start matching up the good players for some great matches.
