Oh and as for not being able to go back to optical mice, laser mice have a higher DPI but they have much lower malfunction speed and perfect control. This article shows the benchmarks of the MX518 and the G3. The G3 barely beats out the MX518 in DPI, where as the MX518 crushes the G3 in both malfunction speed and perfect control

This article shows the benchmarks of the MX518 and the G3. The G3 barely beats out the MX518 in DPI, where as the MX518 crushes the G3 in both malfunction speed and perfect control granted the mx500 or 518 are the best mice ever for gaming, its not really effecting any sc2 gameplay (the failure/mafunction rate is still humongously high on the G3). But beyond that, the rater did not take into consideration of size, weight, or shape. which are huge factors for me and many gamers. There is a reason why all the progamers used mx300s, mini opticals, and ktec mice. they play a lot, they will get fatigued, they will get carpal tunnel. The problem with the mice is not their technical specs, it's their physical attributes. These oversized palm grip tanks just don't cut it. And yes, palm grip is for casual gamers and computer users. Show me some scbw korean pros who use palm grip. They are going to replace with the g500, which I just noticed has the spec of 8 million clicks durability, which sounds pretty good. I wonder what the durability is of other mice? But according to this, with 19.5 million clicks since 2007 almost to the day. That means I average 6.5 million clicks a year. So the mouse click is going to wear out just over a year. That depends if your thingy counts both your left and right clicks and side button clicks. I wouldn't care too much about the durability of such shit i mean my old mx518 G5 still work and they have years and year of heavy use on them.

THIS IS A WARRANTY FOR LOGITECH MOUSE ONLY, WHAT I LIKE/DONT LIKE IS LISTED IN THE OP. Don't suggest some bullshit, and especially some bullshit that isn't logitech. Does anyone have any of these new logitech mice and can give me some legit feedback on them? How many times must I say it sir, mx518 FTW xD <3

Damn, no more G3s? I'll have to bookmark this thread for the day mine meets its maker...i love that mouse!

Also, how does palm grip make you casual? I am new to the SC scene, but most of the people I have met in both the Quake and CS scenes are palmers. I wouldn't call them casual, but I am sure you are going to make up some dumb reason that they are poorly skilled gamers or something.

Also just because something doesn't suit your preferences doesn't mean that it sucks... That kind of remark just convinces people that you're being ignorant. And no, palm grip is not only for casual gamers. There are perfectly legitimate and sensible reasons for each type of grip so please stop with the silly assumptions...

The LMO is still the superior mouse. I could never buy into this DPI and laser/IR hype. You don't need a 3000 DP mouse to play freaking starcraft. Obviously the other logitechs are designed mostly for palm grips, which happen to be the predominate grip of the casual user. The G9 is actually okay with the supplied smaller grip if you're a fingertip/claw grip user.
