He's coming to my school to talk about the health care reform. I have an exam in the morning and then I walk across campus to see the President speak in person! I'm like 20 minutes from D.C but I've never seen a president in person before. So excited!
Anyway just wanted to share that little bit of excitment with TL. Has TL ever seen any presidents or other famous people in person? I love famous people stories.
I'm going back into hiding now I have a hellish exam tomorrow in an advanced database class. The end of my undergraduate studies is in sight though so I'm happy!

Shook Obama's hand before he was elected. That was pretty cool considering I waited 6+ hours outside in cold weather to get front row seats.
Also gonna see him speak May 1 at UofM commencements

Sounds cool! When Obama came to Oslo in december to receive the Nobel Peace prize, I was in another country, and unable to see him. My father was walking in the city that day, and was suddenly surrounded by three armed cops (the police in Norway don't wear guns in general), and out of nowhere came the motorcade and drove right past him. My dad said he saw Obama and that the president waved, so that was kind of cool.
I was seeing the last show of Cats in Oslo just before christmas, and my (now) ex-girlfriend pointed out that a guy that was walking down from the stage during the intermission looked very familiar. I went to get a closer look, and it turned out it was actually King Harald V of Norway. After the 2nd set, I went outside to grab a smoke, while my family and all the others went to get their coats. While standing outside the main entrance, I saw a limousine and maybe 8-10 uniformed cops, and suddenly a police-man came over and stood next to me while watching me suspiciously (I think it was the fact that I was standing in a thin sweater in like -10°C). The double doors of the main entrance was opened, and the king and queen came out, walking less than a meter away from me. The king looked at me and said 'hi!', while I was a bit too stunned to reply before he got in his car.
My brother supposedly almost stumbled over the queen while they were walking down a flight of stairs, because he misstepped.

Hi! Thanks for sharing, I really love to hear from Americans that actually like Obama, because.. Well I guess here in Scandinavia the youth has a tendency to trust politicians more than over there, so I always liked Obama..
Anyway, I once walked by Morgenthaler on the street, if you're familiar with him, in London! That's about as close as I ever got to awesomeness :p
Edit: Typo

cool~ it's a great opportunity.. hope you feel a sense of pride.. i'm hoping to get work for the white house in the future of my AF career, so I may at least get one chance to work directly for the president. Of course, getting a picture would be so memorable. :-)

My mom's coworker is neighbors to some member of the Wu Tang Clan, and apparently they are very courteous about the fact that they throw loud ass bangers lol. Also, my friend smoked blunts with Lil' Wayne's manager and Red Man (separate occasions).

Bring a gun, I promise, you will never ever reach a high like that ever in your life.

Ask him what significant thing he's done in the year and a half he's been in office.

Nice birthday present. Ask him to play StarCraft.

I've shaked hands with Bill Clinton when he came to Vietnam, but seeing him for more than 1 minute must be different. If I were you I would take lotta pics.

Tell him to build a multi million dollar esports stadium in LA ^-^

I saw Clinton once when he stepped out of one of those black Government SVUs in front of a restaurant in Key West. Came by there half an hour later again and a crowd had appeared waiting for him to come out again. Must suck to be a celebrity.

If you can go I'd really recommend it. Seeing such a historic (whether you like him or not) president speak is something we may never have the chance to do again.

Ask him why he's such a fuckin pansy

Back when I was in middle school (in California) we went on a field trip to visit some historic places on the east coast and on Veteran's Day we got to see Former president George W. Bush Speak at Arlington National Cemetery. The most memorable thing was only the fact that I got to see the president >.>
