Yes I know, read those a long time ago (Once you join TL you start searching old corners for any small information to keep updated appear knowledgeable or what it is called.) But I just didn't find them as amusing as more recent Power Ranks. So I had to say that it's a shame, but in truth, what the hell. I'm not gonna stop reading PR and it wasn't even half bad, I was just thrown off guard that's all.

Hmm wish there was more about why Flash is number one. I just got my internet back and havent been able to keep up at all.

Honestly, I used to hate Kwanro, but now I respect him as a player because his play style is so unique from everyone else. You can't see any top tier macro or any l33t micro(most of the time), but how does he keep on winning always with the early aggression? His macro and micro does not win him games, his keen timing, pre game planning and early strategy wins him the games, and that's what wins him games.
You could argue he's just a cheesy all-in zerg the first few wins, but when he wins so consistently with the all-inish builds that opponents EXPECT from him, you gotta open your eyes and see he is far more than what he appears to be. He knows his place mechanically, so he makes up for it strategically. He knows his options of winning against top players and always goes for them. Brain zerg without the brawn.
Also, his zvz is getting pretty damn beastly, the stuff you would expect from the old JD and his zvp is a good look also. He fails at ZvT, but so do like 90% of the top zergs right now.

his ZvZ wins are almost exclusively on the backs of BO advantages and/or bad opposition. Don't compare him to old Jaedong.
|
Hot damn!! Jaedong's in a slump, while Flash's just getting better and better.
|
Jaedong #1!
In all fairness, Jaedong's recent loss to DarkElf is kinda sad. I also give Flash props for mastering Terran, with all its micro-intensiveness, and for playing so well lately.

Feel iffy about Stork's ranking. I'm a massive fan and I don't think he had the most fantastic of months. I felt more confident about his Star league runs last season. This season... looks... iffy.
God flash raped samsung khan. Raped. ><

I'll just leave this here. Huh? Where did you get that? When I look on TLPD, I see 7-4 for Baby in Feb 2010.
off-line prelims for the MSL and OSL possibly

Stork's ranking is mostly "someone has to be number 3 and he looks like the best of the lot" sort of thing. Impressive wins vs Jaedong and Sea(PL Sea is S-class) plus a 3-kill seems enough considering his pedigree.

True, true, 19-9 was for the sexyness and completeness. Anyway, if we take only PL we still have 7-4 (64% which make him #7 slightly bellow Bisu anyway.)

The old Jaedong was that way because zergs were not as good back then as they are now and nothing more.

Hey, Powers-That-Be: please keep Kwanro off of the next PR. We need at least six weeks to forgive him for that game vs Flash
|
He was comparing Kwanro's ZvZ directly to what you would expect of old Jaedong, which was a 90% winrate, so I think you didn't catch the context of what I said.

"Don't even try to argue this one"
funnily enough, that was the description for Savior's #1 spot in the pr quite a while ago.
man flash is just too beast, i hope some revolutionist comes and knocks him off his perch =P T.T

Nice write-up.
Just a minor comment:
if that game was on a four player map the chances are Jaedong would not have run out of minerals and taken the game I don't think this proves anything. Both players would have chosen different strategies throughout the game if it were on a different map. I feel that Stork outplayed Jaedong in that game because of his beautiful and plentiful storms.

I feel differently, I feel that Jaedong went balls to the wall aggressive and Stork barely held on for dear life throughout. Stork was able to secure equal expansions and Jaedong wasn't able to get any more and thus ran out of steam. With that said, I'm not trying to take Stork's win away from him - he deserved it - I'm just trying to emphasize that one game like that does not justify Jaedong dropping a place.
