Sounds like something fun to play around with, maybe if you can get the Dark Archon really early you can prevent reaver harass lol.

D level doesnt count. it cant be a reference for strategies.

this is a sick idea. ive always liked the idea of using DTs, and if your opponent has detection then morphing them in DAs

If someone tries this against me I'll just build scouts lolol

I've had zealot da done vs me before. It was a long time ago and he was better and it basically played out as you said :p

at D level I've found it is really great to rush DTs vs. P or T and then just expand (maybe twice) and go standard from there. Works well on maps that are bad for vult harass like HBR. If they aren't ready for it you can go for the kill. If they are you can have early map control.

I don't really like to go dts anymore because observers are very late and vultures with mines can negate dts pretty easily

yeah i only go DTs if its pretty obvious that my opponent is going 2 fac or 3-4 gate all-in

Feedbacking High Templars feels good, too.
So does Mind Controlling a potential Storm Drop.

i think you guys are missing the point that this isnt a legit strat and it doesnt involve dt's very heavily at all.... except for morphing them ;P

the most fun I had playing pvp is mass reaver strat (this actually works on people C and better)
you start with double robo or 1 robo FE I prefer double robo though
even if they see it with their observer not much you can do when 6 reavers get dropped in your base lol
then you just dont even need shuttles, slow push across the map with 15+ reavers and make sure to spread so you dont get stormed, hella fun
|
mind controlling the shuttle with 2 reavers is so much win.
|
Is it even conceivable that you mind control a reaver drop (the first reaver drop) in a serious game at C level or above?

just tried it, it was so much fun haha.
opened one gate gas pylon core into two gate dts followed by expo + 2 cannons killed some goons with dts while researching leg speed + mind control morphed the dts into DA built pylons around predicted shuttle paths he actually got reaver + speed shuttle, mind controlled it near my main attacked with 36 speedlots + shuttle/reaver with obs coming
he was bad but fun nevertheless

Some people really struggle to adapt to something odd (say, if the other guy is going corsair with dweb in pvt), and often make no changes at all.
If they went for the reaver drop straight away with their first reaver and shuttle, i'd say it would be incredibly hard to fend off, however i think if you could (maybe a cannon or two would help) and you had a da out asap to build up energy, it'd be ridiculously difficult not to let your shuttle get mind controlled at some point...

Who gives a fuck how 'legit' this strat is? Sounds like a ton of fun if you can pull it off.
