As far as lynching the mayor or not, that's really going to scare anyone who is running. I also find it strange that you are proposing to immediately lynch the mayor when you are running for elected positions yourself.

I don't like either the idea of lynching the mayor right away, first of all, like most people said then no one would run, but most important, it removes the ability from the town to get additionnal information, which is pretty much the most important think to help us choose who to lynch each day. The voting power grows strong with late game, so early it shouldn't be a problem. By the case we lynch him in the middle of the game, if he hasn't proven by his actions that he is legit (or all bodyguards dead and he' still alive, or w/e reason we choose to lynch him), might be better just because of that mass of information you can get from it afterwards. But really, mayor can pretty much be a double edged sword for each camp, wheter he's mafia or town, it all depend on how he's playing.

That makes me think, for anyone saying to lynch the mayor first day, why not sheriff then? He pretty much get only that rolecheck immunity since his incarceration ability isn't that great, and rolecheck immunity is something that benefit only the mafia.

Also as I've said before, that makes the game not fun. Yeah I mean winning is really really awesome and all. I play to win like 99.9% of the time. But then if we kill both the elected people it's... just not fun. Also yay we are more active than BC's game. Go us.

The mafia will probably kill you anyway right? So what do you have to lose?

Having less information only helps the mafia. The biggest two allies of the mafia imo are quiet ppl and inactive ppl.

it's a list so you can verify it's authenticity by checking the voting thread.

So my conjecture is this: one and only one of the candidates is a mobster. So far the candidates are: myself, DoctorH, meeple, 789 and t_co. I think one of us, and only one, is a mobster. PS: I also realize that I am an idiot for continuing to offer my best guesses to the public: if these guesses are right, the mob will kill me to get rid of a troublesome player. Who else would they go for? If I am wrong, I will move to the top of the list for getting lynched by the town, since I argued my points clearly and strongly and got innocent people killed (say... [NyC]Hobbes gets lynched but turns out to be innocent this round - who would you all blame?!?).

he claims to have a theory about who FOUR of the mobsters are. There are only clues toward two, yet he has a theory for 4 out of the 7 mobsters. He won't post the list to help us speculate and now he is provoking the mafia to kill him. After asking the mafia to kill him he announced candidacy to avoid getting killed? I don't even understand the logic from either the townie or mafia side. If he releases the information and he gets killed, part of the town will assume his information was good and that's why he was silenced and the other part will assume the mafia is using reverse psychology. Either way, the mafia can create confusion. So if he isn't mafia and he releases that information, the mafia has no reason not to kill him. If he is Mafia, I don't really see what he's trying to do. Cause panic? I'm reluctant to paint anyone red right now, but perhaps t_co? Firstly, he is trying to draw a connection between me and meeple that is pretty transparent. It seems to me (I could be wrong, I really would like to hear a bit more of t_co's reasoning here) that he is trying to cause mistrust? Also, he put the most effort into his campaign for mayor/sheriff and now he is saying we should lynch the mayor no matter who it is, which seems awfully strange to me. If he is mafia, this all makes sense. He can convince the town to get rid of the mayor who has three votes, which would really help the mafia out by reducing town voting power. Also the mafia could be trying to breed distrust toward who they see as active/dangerous townies. Going off of clues, I'd say [NyC]Hobbes is the most likely, but even that is pretty iffy.
