I'm currently in the process of writing the first part of a behind the scenes article about eSTRO. I went to PLM last night with Sangho, Flying and Tester to gather my first photos for the piece which will be posted on Fomos soon. I just want to say I love how much larger my photos can be without losing resolution with this new camera. I'm still learning how to adjust the colors appropriately, but it's fun to play around with the curves and see what the result can be. I also need a smaller portrait lens right now plus a flash. I'm going to buy them over the course of the new two months I think. I am also happy to note I've cured my 'weird angles' fetish for now. I just need to work on composition, timing, post-processing and angles now. Amusing stories from the night included ~~ Throwing my last piece of (wrapped) chewing gum at Sangho because he demanded it after finding out it was my last T_T ~ Being called a 'Sexy girl' by Sangho after being teased yet again by him and called 'man.' He is buttering me up for more photos to show his girlfriend and put on his cyworld. ~ Flying/Jaewook being insufferably adorable all evening. Especially after winning the final match and having his hair ruffled by new coaching staff Max (Former Hanbit Stars 2v2 player.) CLICK TO VIEW THE FULL SIZE! (It's clearer.) BRB kidnapping Jaewook (and Chavi.) Secret bonus shot ~ + Show Spoiler +

Hahaha. Actually a lot of the gamers have girlfriends. Apparently, according to my sources in the STX Soul fanclub Hero has had a girlfriend for a long time.

Oh soft, what light from yonder window breaks
Sounds promising, will be looking forward to the article ^^[/spoiler]

The vignetting in the first few looks great. Is the DOF blur in that first shot of the photo straight from the camera, or did you add it in later?
I dunno why, but I love the colors in that photo of Sangho's hands. The way the colors are all bled out just gives it a massive amount of atmosphere...that probably wasn't there when you took it, but definitely shows up now, lol.

It came straight from the original photo. I love having so many more points of focus for the Canon - the Nikon was crap in that respect and now I can be way more specific about which areas of a photo are blurred and which are the main focus.

Having such a god-status lens like your 70-200 f/2.8 would definitely do that for you. That lens is disgustingly amazing. (:

Yeah - it's so nice not to have to worry about lighting and skin tone as much as I did with the Sigma lens. I desperately need a wide angle/portrait lens now though. The one I want is 2 million won though ;_; That's like another 2 months of saving.

If you want a cheaper headshot lens, I'd recommend the 50mm f/1.4 that I have. The image quality is as close to perfection (that's right...even better than the 24-70 f/2.8) as you can get with a lens (even the f/1.2 L version only rivals it). It only costs around $310USD I think.
Either that or an 80mm lens. Those are great for headshots and upper body shots.
I would love to see you take wide-angle shots at events, though. That's like a whole 'nother world, haha.
