Man i'm so annoyed about how many cheeser there are in the beginning of the season. This stupid players just want to win at any cost, its freaking annoying. Whats the propose in making inside base gateways, bunker rush, 4 pool? Probably u are going to get a C- and then stuck with your mediocre play. You cant learn nothing playing like this. I would fully understand if Iccup was a tournament that gives money prizes, but no, this fucking ladder has the only propose of being a nice server that gather all the best players in the world. This way you can improve your game and have a nice time playing. I'm not a bad loser i'm just tired having to make 6 pylon/2 gates, just to avoid some stupid cheese. I just wanna have some nice and cool games.
How do you guys fell about it?
man, i entered this thinking you were talking about chess but misspelled it, but you misspelled cheese -_-
on topic: some people enjoy using cheeses, personally i'm not a big fan of macro and wouldn't mind if i could micro mutas all day long. i'm sure many people feel the same way. the others care about an arbitrary grade letter next to their id i guess
I see your point, indeed we have players that like to masturbate their ego having a high grade next to their names. But the most interesting thing is that this shit happens every beggining of the season. The most we aproaches to the end, less cheese strategies.
Sorry, in fact i misspelled the cheese word.
you just have to learn to defend from cheese. go for safer builds. 6 pylon 2 gates is over doing it dude. PvT 1 gate robo. PvZ scout extra carefully and don't go cheap on cannons PvP go 2 gate robo.
yeah, thanks for the advice but in fact i'm dying for 4 pool rushes (as Protoss i expand, its harsh to play with 2 gates nowadays). To stop this your need to be very good at containing this bastards zerglings with probes.
if as a protos you die to 4 pool when you fast expand you either need to learn to scout or need to learn to pull probes to protect the one cannon you should have
wait a PROTOSS complaining about cheesing? If they 4 pool you pull all your probes and laugh that even if they kill half of them youre still ahead by a mile. If theyre terran you build gateways outside their base and laugh as they attempt to gain some kind of advantage. If theyre protoss w/e its mirror match do what you want.

People cheese cause they want to get to high rank easily. They don't want to play a macro game against a D noob. That's why it's stupid for D rankers to want to play the beginning of the season wanting to play against a pro. The pro will just cheese you.
Why don't you take a break from Iccup for a little while and play chess instead? Then come back later in the season when people are cheesing less and have more fun! You practically spelled it out in your title XD
I thought this would be a food blog about making cheese. But cheese is what makes starcraft awesome. With it's bitter fingernail biting moments where micro is everything.
You'll learn to stop it eventually. I agree though, it can be annoying losing to inferior players just cause they all in. Part of the game though
Well, "cheese" is a part of BW just like any other strategie. Imagine there would be absolutely no cheese and everyone was forced to do the single BO all over again.
Most of the time you lose to cheese the same player would beat you also in a standard macro game. Just scout early and look if there is something strange going on. If you realize proxy, 4 pool or bunker rush is coming just stop probe production go for a second gateway and probably a shield battery. Cheese is basicly ALL IN. If you manage to survive your opponent ist fucked becaus he will never recover.
Also try to cheese from time to time yourself to see where the flaws are so you can later respond better.
The reason why you don't see cheese often in higher ranks is because player know how to respond. So don't blame your opponent after you lose for using some cheap strategie but learn how to react properly.
And remember that some of the best games are where cheese is involved, especially if you survive and beat the crap out of them later =]

2 player maps and scout after pylon gg

I don't mind being cheesed, it simplifies the game in many cases.
If you ever play in a tournament or clan war you need to know how to "play to win". That includes cheesing and fending off cheese. Random iccup'ers cheesing you is good practice and should be appreciated rather than deprecated.

Cheese = ez win for you. Most of the people cheesing suck anyway.
Seriously though, at the start of the season 90% of my PvZ is vs 2 hat hydra or 3 hat ling all-ins. This is why I can't beat D+ zergs.
Maybe they get fun from winning and only play for that fun. It may be hard to comprehend but not everyone plays to improve
Plus you will never improve that much with playing ladder as if you would playing practice partner

Cuz you can't defend against the same two builds used all the time?
Agreed. Almost all games I've played has been lame cheeses. Yes, it's a part of SC. Yes, I'm improving my cheese defence, jolly good. But it's seriously no fun to not be able to play a single straight up game. And another annoying thing is the fact that whenever I create a game saying ''D/D-'', people from high D+ ranks join and then proceed to cheese super hard. Cowards.
