It's too bad Jaedong's at a period in his life that he still doesn't understand the concept of money. Hopefully it won't hurt his future. It seems he's a nice, hardworking kid. And he really doesn't deserves to be screwed like this.

By saying he wishes to stay at Oz above all else, he pretty much gave Oz the right to just murder him in the contract negotiations. The system is already made it impossible for other teams to bid on star players. Jaedong gave away whatever little leverage he had left. Well, if he simply just shut up and let his parents do the talking, it would've been better. The problem is that there's absolutely zero advantage to Jaedong, when he said that he wishes to return to Oz. I can't imagine Oz not matching whatever the highest bidder asked for. On a side note, Korean netizens have the wrong idea about the whole "Free auction" thing. The system is the furthest thing from an actual auction. The current system stops player movement period, lowers competition for services, and allows teams to retain their own players for below market value. If anything, an auction would be BETTER than the current system. Because an auction encourages bidding and therefore raises the salaries of players.

Instead of bidding on Jaedong and forcing him to becoming contracted to them, they instead respected his wishes to stay on Oz (despite parents saying otherwise). Good day for e-sports in this regard. However, FA still sucks. Claiming it's because they are respecting Jaedongs wishes are form of good media relations in my own eyes. Kespa and the proleague-management have a long history of exploiting young inexperienced players for their own advantage. That none of the other teams have made an offer means that he's either (1) to expensive to sign (beacuse of the "play tripple for FAs" rule), or (2) that the teams cooperate to keep player-wages low. (Probably the last one, since go.go was the only FA offered a new contract.) Both explanations are unacceptable.
