hey guys, i was playing dota a few hours ago when suddenly my left hand started to feel funny. it was a bit hard to press the e for omnislash button and i died a few times because of it. Now it's a little ache a bit below the knuckles. it's happened to me before, but i don't think its carpal tunnel, because it's the area slightly below my knuckles, and i did the tests for carpal tunnel. Has this happened to anyone before?
-typed with right hand -will probably go away tomorrow

im not sure but the mid section of my right hand likes to go completely numb resulting in my fingers on my right hand to have no type of movement. I'm scared to what sc2 might lead my hand to.

work out your hand a bit. i suggest some masturbation.

Not a very good accommodation. The last thing you want is a stiff hand in a fixed situation.

Its not carpal tunnel... I think a lot of people dont know what that actually is. Its a restriction of the nerve that runs up and down your wrist, causing discomfort and is mainly caused by resting your wrist on a hard surface constricting blood flow. What you have is probably a heart attack but seriously, go see a doctor it might be tendinitis.

actually I have no pain in my arms at any times and the only time my fingers go numb is when im playing long games of sc(15+ min games and I use a logitech mini) and when im using my hands for pressure(car wash pressure hose, jacking off, holding a wrench/tool in a certain way for a period of time).
Edit: People told me it could be arthritis or a heart attack coming soon like the guy above me said.

..carpel tunnel also restricts that same nerve wtf, are you getting your information from, my dad just had carpel tunnel surgery..if you feel numbness it most likely is carpel tunnel or parenthesias google them both.

Stretch and move your wrists often. Don't let them sit in one place especially at awkward angles, etc..... leads to restrictions, impingements, etc.
Heat on your hand to get blood flow back

Depends on which fingers, as to whether it's CTS or not. CTS is pretty much used as a blanket by doctors though. Or at least some of them.
At any rate, I'm having a similar deal. Starcraft players with wrist injuries unite

Do slow exercises by clenching and spreading your hands to improve blood circulation
Might help

If your conditions get worse at night and experience pain from pressing the back of your hands together for 30 seconds, it most likely is.

isn't this an obvious and straightforward sign telling you to stop typing so much?

hahahaha
You should definitely quit playing dota for a while. The hands were used to grasp stuff, not spam keys on a keyboard. You shouldn't overexert because pain is an obvious indication that something's wrong. You should probably go get it checked out by a doctor.
