Why does SKT1 get a mascot?

Straight from Air Force ACE's hangars, it's Planey! Rather cheap-looking and poorly put together, and not very successful, just like everything else the KAF has put towards professional StarCraft!

Representing Hite Sparkyz we have the Hite Alcoholic! He comes to every proleague event with a cooler full of beers and shotglasses to give to the wee little Korean Children, but he ends up drinking half the cooler before passing out in front of Leta's booth!

That's right, it's Giant-Headed Jaedong! The same Jaedong you know and love, as a mascot, wearing a giant mask of his own face! Because an S-class player like Jaedong isn't already carrying the team on his shoulders.
