The Hype:
The Facts:
MCMcEmcee aka CrimsonDisaster aka DenjinJeff aka xPwNaZnOwNx aka American Hero MCMcEmcee is a Team Liquid member from Awesome, TX and a regular source of knowledge and inspiration for the and any fighting games thread on Team Liquid. An avid hater of Sanwa Denshi parts, he is surrounded by rumors claiming feats such as perfecting Ogawa, being top american arcana heart player and being a real gundam pilot.
Tougeki - Super Battle Opera Tougeki - Super Battle Opera, also known as Arcadia Cup and commonly abbreviated SBO, is an annual Japanese fighting video game tournament hosted by the magazine Arcadia. Super Battle Opera actually consists of several tournaments for a variety of fighting games. Which games are to be represented are decided by the organizers of the event, and the roster is changed between each year.
Arcade UFO SBO Qualifiers On June 27, Arcade UFO is hosting SBO qualifiers for: Guilty Gear (Teams), Blazblue (Singles), 2x Tatsunoko vs Capcom (Singles).
The Plan:
Guilty Gear Despite being Slayer, chances are low that our hero can OCV his way to qualifying.
Blazblue Despite not being v13, maybe our hero can pull through with his Hakumen and ink kicks.
Tatsunoko vs Capcom Despite not being Marn, hopefully our hero can scrub a qualifying spot with some characters i forgot.
The Outlook
It looks bleak. Our hero is too busy playing monster hunter to practice fighting games. But I believe. Also there's not enough threads about fighting games and there has been worse threads in Sports and Games.

Monster rancher, god i love that game.

God damn it Argentina he said Monster Hunter
Also its actually kind of low for fubar to take spots at those particular games, IMO
|
Also Bill theres no vids of his Hakumen cuz that shit is under wraps
|
I doubt fubar will make it through those games really, although I expect a fair amount of butthurt-ness if one of the big favourites gets eliminated by him. Wouldn't be surprised if he took out Mike Z (in BB), for instance.

Bill: Will probably play Ragna at quals, we'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow D:
Haven't seen enough of the out-of-towners yet but Goryus v-13 is pretty strong. I still think Pozer or Hsien have the best shot at taking the qual, but that's with no knowledge of EC BB outside of Nas, who isn't even coming.
As for GG, no team. We'll see.
As for TvC, don't even know what's happening with those quals.

poonage from SRK Saturday, June 27th Sign-ups start at 1:00PM, event starts at 2:00PM
Entry Fee: $10 donation to help sponsor our SBO-bound champions
SF4, PS3 version on arcade cabs, all characters unlocked and allowed PS3 Wireless controllers optional. 2/3 rounds, 1 match only Double Elimination
First and second place in the tournament will be allowed to compete for spots on the official EVO 5v5 SF4 exhibition, and 3rd/4th place will be considered back-ups in case Hsien, Jonlo, or Jan cannot make it to EVO.
So ten bucks + whatever it'd cost you to make it to Austin, TX

I kept thinking of this guy from the way you said America.
