You could download some no-cd loader, or patch the game and use blizzard's no-cd method: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=21150 (look at patch 1.15.2)
It's quite tedious for 10-20 installations though. Isn't there a "Starcraft Spawn" thing intended for this type of thing? I've never used it so I don't really know how it works.

Just make one installation and copy it to every other pc.

It should be enough to run the game because I don't think there are any registry values you need for LAN play.

I think you can use the one from the abyss

Yeah, you can A. Make a full install, use Blizzards no cd method or B. Use the abyss version And then just put it on every computer. Be sure to put things like maps in before copying it.

scloader2a, if your school doesn't care about legality issues
|
download the sc from iccup, and use that.
|
You don't need the registry entries unless you want patching through b.net to work. Find a working loader and your good to do

The Abyss version is the one you can download from iccup. The download link is on this page.

What I have done when organizing tournaments is to install the complete game in each computer and leave an image of the disc loades with Daemon, but that is cause if you run a new patch the "non-CD" crack stops working, that was before the Blizzard way to do it. I know is not the best wat but I did it like that cause I make the tournament on internet coffes, so I have the hope some other persons will find the game and get hooked =P...
for a fast thing there is the ICCup version, that will do the job for sure.
Good luck with your tournament.

Um.. since the 1.15.2 patch or somewhere along the line back there, you could play the game without the cd. Just find Blizzard's official patch, it's 1.16.1, then follow their instructions on how to get it to run without the cd. For bw I believe you have to copy install.exe over and rename it as broodwar.mpq. Anyways, with LAN you could run them on the same cd key. You will have to install the game on all the computers though.
- StarCraft and StarCraft: BroodWar no longer require the CD while playing the game. To play without the CD, please follow the following instructions:
Windows Users: - Make sure you have "Hide extensions for known types" unchecked. To do this please use the following steps: - Click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Windows Explorer - Click on Tools -> Folder options (Windows Vista users may have to press the Alt key to see the tools option at the top of the window) - Click on the View Tab In the list, look for the "Hide extensions for known file types" option, and make sure that it is unchecked. - Click OK to save the changes. - Now you will need to copy some files from the Game CDs
- If you own only StarCraft, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "StarCraft.mpq".
- If you own StarCraft: Brood War, copy "INSTALL.EXE" from the StarCraft: Brood War CD to your StarCraft folder and rename it to "BroodWar.mpq". If you wish to play the StarCraft original missions then please copy and rename the install file from the original StarCraft CD as well, as listed directly above.

thanks a lot for all of you

You can install every copy with the cd key 3333-33333-3333 (master key , doesn't work on bnet)
Unless the computers are really fucking slow, doesn't bw installation take like 30 seconds max? And then you just need a thumb drive with the maps to drop in the map folder.
What you can do too, is load SC/BW onto your blizz store account and then from each computer access and DL the game all at the same time. and then install all at the same time. It should be the latest patch too so less hassle DLing the patch for every computer.

Now i have at least 3 options to go, i think it will be fine, thanks a lot again
