Now, as we have our own forum we have come to the issue, as of now, only two hosts have been deemed good enough to ask to host repeat games being Myself and Chuiu. Both ace and caller have run their own games, and although they had their issues, they were still fun.
With the creation of this forum, hopefully the player base and want of games will increase, as such we will need more than the host total we have now.
Current Host List 1. Chuiu 2. Bloodyc0bbler 3. Caller (if he wishes to do another game) 4. Ace (if he wishes to do another game) 5. Qatol 6. Pyrr 7. Semioldguy
We desperately need more hosts, here are the basics behind creating a game.
1. Deciding on game size. This is a relatively easy choice to make. The smaller the player count, the faster your game will go, The less roles you have overall, and hopefully, a more active game. The larger the game, the longer it will run, more roles overall, but, with increased numbers increases the amount of inactive players (typicaly). As a host it is up to you to weigh what choices you view are optimal.
2. Decide on game style/theme. This is the general type of game you want to run. When I say style or theme, I refer to how you want to run your game. Do you want two mafia families? Do you want hidden role counts, etc... This is a key point of consideration when your making a game, as you have to balance as best as possible around this style, as each requires different balancing techniques.
3. Role counts Once you have your theme down, and your total game size, you have to figure out how many roles your giving out.
General rule is normally 1 mafia for every 5 players, and roughly 1.25 blue roles per 5 players. specific blue roles are usually on a 1 dt/1vig/2 medic ratio.
4. Roles and rules Each game has its own set of rules, and roles that make it unique. The general rule set used can be found in any of chuiu's games (they have stayed very similar from games 1 - 5 of his)
Roles however change from game to game. Generic role names kept in most games are Detective, Vigilante, and Paramedic for blues and Mafia and godfather for reds Townies for the rest.
Some games add other new roles, but for each new one added to the game, each other role must be tweaked to make sure neither side is stronger than the other.
5. Pace of game Each game lives and dies based on how quickly it runs. Day's can't be too long, or too short, same with nights. Based on your player count, set a general time for transitions, and try to only deviate from this set time due to player request, player activity or the like.
6. Night Posts Night posts can be one of the hardest thing for a new host to do, if they have no experience in any form of writing. It is not as hard if you don't include clues into your writing and do a no clue game, however, clue games require making them difficult enough that the town is required to think, but not too hard that no one can solve them. Try to use clear language, and don't let your sentences drag out unless you have to.
If anyone thinks of anything else, wants a new confirmed host added, or wants any hosting advice, let me know.

Thanks for the guide BC, at the moment I'm really pressed for time and I don't have much of a chance to host a game, however, in a couple of months time I do want to give it a go. For me the issues would be writing the clues, and balancing role counts. I really, really loved the clue style from Game 2, where the mafia were all named, I'd probably go with something like that.
But balance, I really have no idea how you decide the rolecounts. I can see for example that giving town 5 dts is a bad thing, but deciding between say 3/2 combined with other role counts is something I don't feel confident saying this way/that way at the moment. That's easily solved I guess by discussing it.

Its one of those things that like, Writing it all out is extremely hard to teach through, those are the general steps. I learned basically by mirroring chuiu's format and doing minor minor tweaking to make it my own game. If i think of a clearer way of doing it(which i am thinking on anyway) i shall toss it in.

I think this game can only be run properly by mani.
Anyways, unless people object now I think I will volunteer to run the next game, as I have plenty of time currently.

But I already have such a good day 1 post...
Day 1:
In bright new day of Glorious Liquidia Socialist Republic, Comrade Brezhnev was waiting for the bus when suddenly he suffered a massive heart attack, tripped, messed up, said something in Norwegian, and then died! Glory to comrade Brezhnev, his sacrifice and toil for the brave workers of our union shall not be forgotten! We must find the criminal mafiya responsible for this!
